Latch - Liftgate (Remove and Replace)

Torque Specifications

Bolts that attach the liftgate latch to the liftgate	10 Nm (7.4 lbs-ft)	10 mm socket	Reuse

Remove

Remove the liftgate lower trim. See Trim - Liftgate - Lower (Remove and Replace).
Disconnect the electrical connector from the latch.
Remove the bolts that attach the latch to the liftgate lid, and then remove the latch from the vehicle.

Note
The latch has tabs on the backside. Slide the latch upwards to release the tabs from the liftgate.

Note
Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

Install

Install the bolts that attach the latch to the liftgate lid.
10 Nm (7.4 lbs-ft)

Note
The latch has tabs on the backside. Position the latch so that the tabs enter the locating holes in the liftgate.

Note
Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
Connect the electrical connector to the latch.
Install the liftgate lower trim. See Trim - Liftgate - Lower (Remove and Replace).
Install the liftgate upper trim. See Trim - Upper - Liftgate (Remove and Replace).
Close the liftgate.
