Podium - Seat - Driver (Remove and Replace)

Seat base edges are sharp and can cause personal injury. Wear cut resistant gloves when removing the seat from the vehicle, and while performing procedures that involve work on or near the seat base.

Remove

  1. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  2. Disconnect 12V power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  3. Remove the driver seat. See Seat Assembly - 1st Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the front passenger seat. See Seat Assembly - 1st Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
  5. Remove the center console. See Center Console (Remove and Install).
  6. Remove the 2nd row lower seat cushion. See Seat Cushion - Lower - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace).
  7. Remove the LH and RH lower B-pillar trims. See Trim - B-Pillar - Lower - LH (Non-Structural Pack) (Remove and Replace).
  8. Remove the rear carpet. See Carpet - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  9. Remove the LH front carpet. See Carpet - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).
  10. Remove the RH front carpet. See Carpet - Front - RH (Remove and Replace).
  11. Disconnect the harness clip from the rear of the 1st row seats podium assembly.
  12. Remove and discard the bolts (x4) that attach the 1st row seats podium assembly to the vehicle, and then remove the podium from the vehicle.
    33.5 Nm (24.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 11mm deep socket
    • 4 in extension

Install

  1. Position the 1st row seats podium assembly into the vehicle, and then install new bolts (x4) that attach the podium assembly to the vehicle.
    33.5 Nm (24.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 11mm deep socket
    • 4 in extension
  2. Install the harness clip onto the rear of the 1st row seats podium assembly.
  3. Install the RH front carpet. See Carpet - Front - RH (Remove and Replace).
  4. Install the LH front carpet. See Carpet - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).
  5. Install the rear carpet. See Carpet - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  6. Install the LH and RH lower B-pillar trims. See Trim - B-Pillar - Lower - LH (Non-Structural Pack) (Remove and Replace).
  7. Install the 2nd row lower seat cushion. See Seat Cushion - Lower - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace).
  8. Install the center console. See Center Console (Remove and Install).
  9. Install the front passenger seat. See Seat Assembly - 1st Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
  10. Install the driver seat. See Seat Assembly - 1st Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
  11. Connect 12V power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  12. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
