Accelerator (Remove and Replace)
Correction code 17551002 0.36 NOTE: Unless otherwise explicitly stated in the procedure, the above correction code and FRT reflect all of the work required to perform this procedure, including the linked procedures. Remove
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Disconnect 12V/LV power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
- Remove the driver knee airbag. See Airbag - Knee - Driver (Remove and Install).
- Remove the LH footwell duct. See Duct - Footwell - LH (Remove and Replace).

Disconnect the electrical connector from the accelerator.
CAUTIONIf the connector locking tab is red, pull the red locking tab away from the pedal housing.
- Remove the bolt that attaches the accelerator to the body.
- Slide the accelerator downwards, and then remove the accelerator from the vehicle.
Install
- Slide the accelerator up, and then install the accelerator into the bracket.

Install the bolt that attaches the accelerator to the body.

Connect the accelerator electrical connector.
NoteIf the connector locking tab is red: push the red locking tab towards the pedal housing.
- Install the LH footwell duct. See Duct - Footwell - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the driver knee airbag. See Airbag - Knee - Driver (Remove and Install).
- Reconnect 12V/LV power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
- Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle.

Run the following Toolbox
routines to confirm pedal operation:
- TEST-SELF_DI_X_ACCEL-PEDALSearch for routine in ToolboxAccelerator Connection Test
- PING-TP_PMRSearch for routine in ToolboxPedal Monitor Rear CAN Communication
- TEST-SELF_PMR_X_CAN-COMMSSearch for routine in ToolboxDrive Inverter CAN Communication Self-Test
- Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
