Wiper Module (RHD) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the cowl screen panel. See Panel - Cowl Screen (Remove and Replace) (RHD).
  2. Remove the bolts that attach the wiper module to the vehicle.

    Note
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
    • 2 in extension
  3. Carefully pull the wiper module towards the front of the vehicle to release the rubber anchor from the bracket on the bulkhead.
  4. Rotate the wiper module, and then disconnect the electrical connector from the wiper module.
  5. Remove the wiper module from the vehicle.

Install

  1. With the wiper module facing upside down, connect the electrical connector. Afterwards, rotate the wiper module towards the rear of the vehicle to ensure proper harness clearance.

    CAUTION
    Check the harness to make sure it is routed correctly.
  2. Carefully push the wiper module towards the rear of the vehicle so that the rubber anchor inserts into the bracket on the bulkhead.
  3. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the wiper module to the vehicle.
    7 Nm (5.2 lbs-ft)

  4. Install the cowl screen panel. See Panel - Cowl Screen (Remove and Replace) (RHD).
  5. Enable Service Mode through the touchscreen. See Service Mode.
  6. Perform a software reinstall. See Software Reinstall - Touchscreen.
  7. Run the Wiper Replacement procedure: on the touch screen, touch Service > Closures > Windows > Wiper replacement, touch Run, and allow the routine to complete.
  8. Verify the operation of the windshield washers and wipers.
