Busbar - DCDC Ground (Remove and Replace)

Torque Specifications

Nut that attaches the DCDC ground strap to the HV battery
15 Nm (11.1 lbs-ft)
  • 13 mm deep socket
  • Flex head ratchet
  • 4 in extension
 Replace

Remove

  1. Remove the 2nd row lower seat cushion. See Seat Cushion - Lower - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace).
  2. Disconnect 12V power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  3. Remove the RH lower C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the clip that attaches the lower B-pillar trim to the body, and then move the rear edge of the trim inward for access.
  5. Release the connector harness clip from the RH 2nd row seat frame.
  6. Remove and discard the bolt that attaches the DCDC ground strap to the body.

    Note
    If a reusable E18 service bolt (1056534-00-C) is installed, do not discard.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 13 mm socket
    • Flex head ratchet
  7. Remove and discard the nut that attaches the DCDC ground strap to the HV battery, and then remove the DCDC ground strap from the vehicle.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 13 mm deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet
    • 4 in extension

Install

  1. Install the DCDC ground strap into the vehicle.
  2. Install a new nut that attaches the DCDC ground strap to the body.
    15 Nm (11.1 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 13 mm deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet
    • 4 in extension
  3. Install a new bolt that attaches the DCDC ground strap to the body.
    30 Nm (22.1 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 13 mm socket
    • Flex head ratchet
  4. Install the connector harness clip to the RH 2nd row seat frame.
  5. Move the rear edge of the lower B-pillar trim into its original position, and then install the clip that attaches the trim to the body.

    Note
    Seat the seal around the edge of the trim.
  6. Install the RH lower C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  7. Install the 2nd row lower seat cushion. See Seat Cushion - Lower - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace).
  8. Connect 12V power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
