Flood Ports - 2nd Generation (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  2. Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
  3. In Toolbox 3, click Dashboards > Service Tools > Vitals > Read Vitals.
  4. Under Active Alerts, search for a BMS_a123, BMS_a151, or a BMS_a035 alert.
  5. If:
    • Any of the alerts are present - Investigate and correct the low isolation condition before continuing with this procedure.
    • None of the alerts are present - Continue to the next step.
  6. Disconnect the laptop from the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
  7. Perform the vehicle electrical isolation procedure. See Vehicle Electrical Isolation Procedure.
  8. Remove the rear HV battery skid plate. See Skid Plate - HV Battery - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  9. Remove the LH 2nd generation flood port from the LH underside of the HV battery ancillary bay.

    Note
    Twist the flood port while pulling down.
  10. Repeat step #GUID-87FD8D3D-05FF-471F-B2AC-EC4D65ED3E08__GUID-28B80B80-2189-497B-9187-1FF6FCD83034 to remove the RH 2nd generation flood port from the RH underside of the HV battery ancillary bay.

Install

  1. Use an IPA wipe to clean the area around the openings where the flood ports were removed.
  2. Install a 2nd generation flood port into the opening at the LH underside of the HV battery ancillary bay.

    Note
    Press up firmly to fully seat the flood port and fasten the clips (x8) internally.
  3. Repeat step #TASK_US3_PTZ_XGB__GUID-D4A85B2F-432A-4F28-975C-D64E7C03F5C4 to install a 2nd generation flood port into the RH underside of the HV battery ancillary bay.
  4. Install the rear HV battery skid plate. See Skid Plate - HV Battery - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  5. Install the mid aero shield panel. See Panel - Aero Shield - Mid (Remove and Replace).
  6. Perform the vehicle electrical isolation procedure. See Vehicle Electrical Isolation Procedure.
  7. Perform an ancillary bay air leak test. See Ancillary Bay Air Leak Test.
