B-Cover - Outer - 3rd Row - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open all the doors and fully lower all the windows.
  2. Open the liftgate.
  3. Move the front seats fully forward.
  4. Move the 2nd row seats into easy entry mode.
  5. Remove the 3rd row seat cushion. See Cushion - Seat - 3rd Row (Remove and Replace).
  6. Remove the LH 3rd row back panel. See Back Panel - 3rd Row Seat - LH (Remove and Replace).
  7. Remove the LH 3rd row seat back panel. See Back Panel - 3rd Row Seat - LH (Remove and Replace).
  8. Remove the LH 3rd row headrest closeout panel. See Headrest Closeout - 3rd Row Seat - LH (Remove and Replace).
  9. Remove the LH 3rd row shoulder switch. See Shoulder Switch – Seat Back – 3rd Row – LH (Remove and Replace).
  10. Remove the LH 3rd row escutcheon. See Shoulder Switch – Seat Back – 3rd Row – LH (Remove and Replace).
  11. Remove the bolts that attach the 3rd row LH backrest to the LH seat back assembly.
    2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket
    • 4 in extension
  12. Release the clips that attach the 3rd row LH backrest to the LH seat back assembly.
    Tip: Push the clips in with pliers while applying outward pressure to the backrest.
  13. Remove the 3rd row LH backrest from the seat back assembly.
  14. Remove the bolt that attaches the 3rd row LH seat cushion bolster to the vehicle, and then slide the bolster forward to remove it from the assembly.
    37 Nm (27.3 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 13 mm socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  15. Release the clip and tab that attach the LH 3rd row outer B-cover from the inner B-cover, and then slide the cover toward the front of the seat frame assembly to remove it from the assembly.

Install

  1. Position the LH 3rd row outer B-cover onto the inner B-cover, and then install clip that attaches the cover to assembly.
  2. Position the 3rd row LH backrest onto the seat back assembly, and then install the clips and fasten the tabs.
  3. Install the bolts that attach the 3rd row LH backrest to the LH seat back assembly.
    2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket
    • 4 in extension
  4. Install the LH 3rd row escutcheon. See Shoulder Switch – Seat Back – 3rd Row – LH (Remove and Replace).
  5. Install the LH 3rd row shoulder switch. See Shoulder Switch – Seat Back – 3rd Row – LH (Remove and Replace).
  6. Install the LH 3rd row headrest closeout panel. See Headrest Closeout - 3rd Row Seat - LH (Remove and Replace).
  7. Install the LH 3rd row seat back panel. See Back Panel - 3rd Row Seat - LH (Remove and Replace).
  8. Position the 3rd row LH seat cushion bolster into the vehicle, and then install the bolt.
    37 Nm (27.3 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 13 mm socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  9. Install the 3rd row seat cushion. See Cushion - Seat - 3rd Row (Remove and Replace).
  10. Move the 2nd row seats and front seats into the original positions.
  11. Raise all the windows and close all the doors.
  12. Close the liftgate.
