  1. Open all four doors.
  2. Lower all four windows.
  3. Move LH front seat forward.
  4. Move RH front seat forward.
  5. Open the hood.
  6. Remove the rear apron.
  7. Remove HEPA filter assembly.

    2x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, Pivot rearward edge up and past brake reservoir, Then lift up to clear frunk assembly
  8. Open charge port door.
  9. Open liftgate.
  10. Power off the vehicle using the touchscreen.
  11. Disconnect the LV battery connector and First Responder Loop.
  12. Empty all pockets and remove all metal objects such as watches and jewelery.
  13. Inspect the HV insulating gloves for any damage.

    Make sure that the HV insulating gloves are not expired. Refer to TN-15-92-003 for glove regional expiration information.
  14. Put on the HV insulating gloves and leather over gloves.
  15. Verify there is no high voltage present at the charge port on the type 2 (AC charge inlet).

    Make sure to wear PPE (HV gloves, safety glasses) when working on high voltage component, Be sure to place the positive test lead on the side of the HV pin just past the plastic protective covers Measure the the voltage between B+ (the four dead front pins) to B- (rear left door striker as a ground for the isolation check), If voltage is greater than 10V, pack contactors are not open or welded, Stop work and reach out to Service Engineering.
  16. Verify there is no high voltage present at the charge port on the Combo 2 (DC charge inlet).

  20. Remove LH Lower C-Pillar trim.

  21. Remove rear load floor.
  22. Remove front load floor.
  23. Remove trunk sill trim.

  35. Pull and hold the manual release cable to release the actuator.

  40. Lubricate AC latch stick and o-ring.

  49. Clean charge port busbar contact surface of residual Penetrox

  50. Apply Penetrox to backside of busbar leads.

    Apply 2 drops of Penetrox A-13 about 5mm in diameter to either side of the hole on both leads, Spread evenly to verify the contact surface is fully covered
  51. Install charge port busbar leads to charge port assembly.

    2x nuts, 10mm, 9 Nm, Nuts have captured washers, If excessive force is required to seat busbars, they may have been bent. Inspect for damage and replace if necessary.
  52. Perform Hioki resistance test at each HV joint from HV busbar lead to charge port stud.

    2x HV joints, The acceptable resistance is between 0.050 mΩ (50 μΩ) and 0.270 mΩ (270 μΩ).If the resistance is greater than 0.270 mΩ (270 μΩ), there is too much resistance in the High Voltage joint. Remove the fastener, clean areas with isopropyl alcohol, install fastener back and test again.If the resistance is lower than 0.050 mΩ (50 μΩ), reposition the probes and measure again.If the resistance is repeatedly between 0.00 mΩ and 0.050 mΩ (50 μΩ), hioki test passed, proceed to next step.
  53. Remove HV insulating gloves.
  54. Install charge port safety cap.

  66. Reseat LH rear door seal.

  67. Install 2nd row seat cushion.

  68. Connect the First Responder Loop and LV battery connector.
  69. Install HEPA filter assembly.

    2x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, Pivot forward edge down past frunk assembly, Then carefully move rear edge past brake reservoir and into position, Gently press on RH side of filter to seat seal onto duct, Rework requires new bolts
  70. Install the rear apron.
  71. Close liftgate.
  72. Move the RH front seat to its original position.
  73. Move LH front seat to original position.
  74. Verify operation of charging system.

  76. Raise all four windows.
