Seat Track - Outer - 2nd Row Seat - LH (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the LH 2nd row seat assembly from the vehicle. See Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - LH (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the push clip from the front of the LH 2nd row seat outer sideshield assembly.
    Tip: Use a pick to remove the push clip from the bottom side of the outboard cover.
  3. Release the clip that attaches the LH 2nd row seat outer sideshield to the seat assembly, disconnect the electrical connector, and then remove the sideshield from the seat assembly.

    Note
    Release the outer sideshield assembly by pulling outwards and up at the front portion of the trim, and then releasing the remaining clip.
  4. Release the clips (x3) that attach the LH 2nd row seat inboard outer trim to the seat assembly, and then remove the trim from the seat assembly.
  5. Remove the LH 2nd row seat toe kick cover. See Cover - Toe Kick - 2nd Row Seat - LH (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  6. Remove the LH 2nd row seat back panel. See Back Panel – 2nd Row Seat – LH (Remove and Replace).
  7. Remove the center 2nd row seat back panel. See Back Panel – 2nd Row Seat – Center/20 (5-Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  8. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat harness electrical connectors (x7), and then release the clip that attaches the harness to the seat frame.
  9. Release the seat cables (x4) from the LH 2nd row seat EZ entry actuator.
  10. Remove the push clips (x2) from the LH 2nd row seat cushion pan.
  11. Remove the center 2nd row lumbar bun. See Lumbar Bun - 2nd Row - Center/20 (Remove and Replace).
  12. Remove the center 2nd row seat back pivot clamps. See Pivot Clamps - Seat Back - 2nd Row - Center/20 (Remove and Replace).
  13. Lift the center 2nd row seat back upward to remove it from the seat assembly.
  14. Manually release the center seatback latch.

    Note
    Use a small screwdriver to manipulate the center seatback latch to release it.
  15. Remove the fasteners (x4) that attach the LH 2nd row seat seat pan to the seat frame.
    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)
    1.5 Nm (1.1 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
    • Torx T25 socket
  16. Remove the LH 2nd row seat headrest trim. See Headrest - 2nd Row - Outer - LH (Remove and Replace).
  17. Remove the LH 2nd row headrest adjustment guide. See Adjustment Guide - Headrest - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace)
  18. Remove the LH 2nd row seat headrest guide lock. See Guide Lock - Headrest - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace).
  19. Release the clips (x4) that attach the LH 2nd row seat back to the seat assembly, and then lift the seat back to remove it from the assembly.
  20. Lift the rear of the LH 2nd row seat cushion assembly, and then slide the cushion toward the front of the seat to remove it from the seat assembly.
  21. Use a pick to manually move the LH 2nd row seat into easy entry position.
  22. Remove and discard the bolts (x2) that attach the LH 2nd row seat podium to the seat tracks.
    37 Nm (27.3 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 11 mm socket
  23. With one hand, engage the towel bar, move the outer seat track rearward with the other hand until the groove on the LH seat podium releases from the outer seat track, and then lift the LH 2nd row seat podium upward while removing it from the inner seat track.
  24. Release the clips (x2) that attach the LH 2nd row seat easy entry actuator cable to the RH easy entry latch.
  25. Remove the nuts that attach the LH 2nd row seat outer seat track to the seat frame assembly.
    37 Nm (27.3 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 13 mm socket
  26. Slide the LH 2nd row seat outer seat track outwards and away from the towel bar to remove it from the assembly.

Install

  1. Position the LH 2nd row seat inner seat track into the seat assembly.

    Note
    Make sure the seat track is properly seated.
  2. Install the nuts that attach the LH 2nd row seat outer seat track to the seat frame assembly.
    37 Nm (27.3 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 13 mm socket
  3. Secure the clips (x2) that attach the LH 2nd row seat easy entry actuator cable to the RH easy entry latch.
  4. Install the groove on the LH 2nd row seat podium to the inner seat track, and then align the groove on the podium to the outer seat track. Engage the towel bar with one hand, and then move the outer seat track inward until the groove on the podium engages to the seat track.
  5. Install new the bolts (x2) that attach the LH 2nd row seat podium to the seat tracks.
    37 Nm (27.3 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 11 mm socket
  6. Position the LH 2nd row seat onto the seat tracks, and then push the seat downward to latch the floor latches.
  7. Starting at the rear of the seat, position the LH 2nd row seat pan onto the seat frame.
  8. Install the fasteners (x4) that attach the LH 2nd row seat seat pan to the seat frame.
    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)
    1.5 Nm (1.1 lbs-ft)

    Note
    The 10 mm bolts are torqued to 6 Nm. The T25 screws are torqued to 1.5 Nm.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
    • Torx T25 socket
  9. Position the LH 2nd row seat back to the seat assembly, and then install the clips (x4) that attach the seat back to the assembly.

    Note
    Make sure the bottom retainers slide into position.
  10. Install the LH 2nd row seat headrest guide lock. See Guide Lock - Headrest - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace).
  11. Install the LH 2nd row headrest adjustment guide. See Adjustment Guide - Headrest - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace)
  12. Install the LH 2nd row seat headrest trim. See Headrest - 2nd Row - Outer - LH (Remove and Replace).
  13. Install the center 2nd row seat back pivot clamps. See Pivot Clamps - Seat Back - 2nd Row - Center/20 (Remove and Replace).
  14. Install the center 2nd row lumbar bun. See Lumbar Bun - 2nd Row - Center/20 (Remove and Replace).
  15. Position the LH 2nd row seat outer sideshield to the seat assembly, connect the electrical connector, and then secure the clip.

    Note
    Release the outer sideshield assembly by pulling outwards and up at the front portion of the trim, and then releasing the remaining clip.
  16. Install the push clip to the front of the LH 2nd row seat outer sideshield assembly.
    Tip: Use a pick to remove the push clip from the bottom side of the outboard cover.
  17. Install the clips (x3) that attach the LH 2nd row seat inboard outer trim to the LH 2nd row seat.
  18. Install the center 2nd row seat back panel. See Back Panel – 2nd Row Seat – Center/20 (5-Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  19. Install the LH 2nd row seat toe kick cover. See Cover - Toe Kick - 2nd Row Seat - LH (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  20. Install the LH 2nd row seat back panel. See Back Panel – 2nd Row Seat – LH (Remove and Replace).
  21. Install the LH 2nd row seat assembly. See Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - LH (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace).
