Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - LH (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace)

Torque Specifications

Replace

CAUTION
Bolts must be installed in the following sequence:
  1. Front Outboard
  2. Rear Inboard
  3. Rear Outboard
  4. Front Inboard

Remove

  1. Remove the LH lower C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (7 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  2. Fold the LH 2nd row seat down.
  3. Disconnect the logic electrical connector at the LH seat frame.
  4. Move the 2nd row LH seat forward.
  5. Remove and discard the bolts (x5) that attach the LH 2nd row seat frame to the vehicle.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • 11 mm deep socket
  6. Move the LH 2nd row seat fully rearward.
  7. Remove the LH 2nd row seat outboard track cover. See Cover - Seat Track - 2nd Row Seat - LH (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  8. Remove the LH 2nd row seat center track cover. See Cover - Seat Track - 2nd Row Seat - Center (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  9. Pull the cabin carpet towards the front of the vehicle to release it from the LH 2nd row seat.
  10. With assistance, remove the LH 2nd row seat assembly from the vehicle.

    Note
    For NA only: If the 2nd row seat that is not being replaced does not have ISOFIX flag for child locks, replace the seat cover. See Cover - Seat Back - 2nd Row - LH (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace).

Install

  1. With assistance, position the LH 2nd row seat assembly into the vehicle.
  2. Connect the logic electrical connector at the LH 2nd row seat frame.
  3. Install new bolts (x5) that attach the LH 2nd row seat frame to the vehicle.
    37 Nm (27.3 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Torque in the sequence of:
    1. Front Outboard
    2. Rear Inboard
    3. Rear Outboard
    4. Front Inboard
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • 11 mm deep socket
  4. Position the cabin carpet into place, and then secure the Velcro.
  5. Fold the LH 2nd row seat to the upright position.
  6. Install the LH 2nd row seat outboard track cover. See Cover - Seat Track - 2nd Row Seat - LH (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  7. Install the LH 2nd row seat center track cover. See Cover - Seat Track - 2nd Row Seat - Center (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  8. Install the LH lower C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (7 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  9. Connect a laptop with Toolbox to the vehicle.
  10. In Toolbox, click Actions/Autodiag, and then search for "ENABLE_PITCH".
  11. Move the front seats to the original positions.
  12. Raise all the windows and close all the doors.
