Window Regulator Motor - Front - LH (Remove and Replace)

The side impact airbag deployment depends on the front door sensor's ability to detect a side impact from air pressure. Make sure that there are no uncovered holes in the front door shells. Additionally, always reinstall plugs or tape when servicing or inspecting the front doors and their components.

Torque Specifications

Remove

  1. Remove the LH front door trim panel. See Panel - Door Trim - Front - LH (Remove and Install).
  2. Release the connector lock, and then disconnect the LH front window regulator motor connector.
  3. Remove the screws that attach the window motor to the closeout panel, and then remove the motor from the panel.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket
    • 2 in extension

Install

  1. Position the window motor onto the closeout panel, and then install the screws that attach the window motor to the closeout panel.
    3.5 Nm (2.6 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket
    • 2 in extension
  2. Connect the LH window motor electrical connector, and then engage the connector lock.
  3. Install the LH front door trim panel. See Panel - Door Trim - Front - LH (Remove and Install).
  4. Recalibrate the LH front window regulator. See Window Regulator (Recalibrate).
