Upper Leg Support - Bumper Carrier - Front (Remove and Replace)

Torque Specifications

  • 10 mm deep socket
  • 6 in extension
  • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
Reuse

Remove

  1. Remove the front fascia. See Fascia - Front (Remove and Install).
  2. Remove the bolts (x4) that attach the upper leg support to the front end carrier.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm deep socket
    • 6 in extension
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  3. Remove the tabs (x2) that attach the upper leg support to the front end carrier, and then remove the front bumper carrier upper leg support from the vehicle.
    Tip: The mounting tabs (x2) need to be lifted out of the FEM for removal.

Install

  1. Install the front bumper carrier upper leg support to the front end carrier.
    Tip: Engage the mounting tabs (x2) properly when installing.
  2. Install the bolts (x4) that attach the upper leg support to the front end carrier.
    8 Nm (5.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm deep socket
    • 6 in extension
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  3. Install the front fascia. See Fascia - Front (Remove and Install).
