Warning
Make sure 12V/LV power has been disconnected for at least 1 minute before disconnecting the electrical harness from Supplementary Restraint System (SRS) components, such as Restraint Control Module, sensors, airbags, etc. Failure to do so can result in unintended safety system behaviors. For more information on SRS precautions, see Airbag and Supplementary Restraint System (SRS) Precautions.

Remove
- Raise and support the vehicle. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Disconnect 12V power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
- Remove the underhood storage unit access panel. See Access Panel - Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the front fascia. See Fascia - Front (Remove and Install).
- Disconnect the electrical wiring harness connector from the LH front airbag sensor.

Remove the bolt that attaches the airbag sensor to the front end carrier, and then remove the sensor from the vehicle.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm deep socket
- ¼ in std flex head ratchet
- ¼ in flex head torque wrench (installation only)
Install
Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.
