  2. Open LH front door
  3. Lower LH front window
  4. Set steering wheel straight ahead
  5. Lock steering wheel into position

  6. Open hood
  7. Remove rear apron

  9. Remove fasteners securing the frunk assembly

  10. Remove frunk assembly from vehicle

  11. Remove bolt securing the steering gear assembly to intermediate shaft assembly

  12. Slide the electric steering column upward to remove it from the steering gear assembly
  13. Power off vehicle from center display

  14. Disconnect 12V negative terminal and first responders loop

    1x nut, 10mm, 6 Nm, 1x connector, Ensure vehicle is in park, climate control system is off, and vehicle is not charging before disconnecting 12V, Negative terminal should be disconnected before FRL, Allow 2 minutes for all electrical circuits to fully discharge
  15. Disconnect the steering gear assembly connectors

  16. Disconnect logic connectors from steering gear assembly

  17. Remove LH front wheel cap

  126. Position RH front tie rod end to RH front knuckle
  127. Install nut securing RH front tie rod end to RH front knuckle

  128. Position LH tie rod end to LH front knuckle

  130. Remove the bolt that attaches the LH front brake rotor to the hub.
  131. Install the hub jack adapter onto the LH front hub and hand-tighten the lug nuts.
  132. Use an underhoist stand to support the hub jack adapter.
  133. Measure the distance between the bottom of the fender and the center of the front axle and adjust the underhoist stand so that the front suspension is set to ride height.
  134. Tighten the bolt and nut that attach the LH front damper to the lower control arm, and then mark the bolt and nut with a paint pen.
    106 Nm (78.2 lbs-ft)
  135. Remove the underhoist stand from underneath the LH front suspension.
  136. Remove the lug nuts that attach the hub jack adapter, and then remove the hub jack adapter from the vehicle.
  137. Install the bolt that attaches the LH front brake rotor to the hub.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)
  138. Repeat step 130 through 137 for the RH side of the vehicle.
  139. Install RH front wheel
