Remove

  1. Remove the LH rocker panel carrier. See Carrier - Rocker Panel - LH (Structural Pack) (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove butyl patches covering LH rocker access holes

  3. Install lift pad adapters onto LH rocker

  5. Remove butyl patches covering RH rocker access holes

  7. Raise and support vehicle

  8. Open LH front door
  9. Lower LH front window
  10. Open hood
  11. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  12. Remove bolt securing frunk to washer fluid reservoir neck

  13. Release washer tank neck from washer tank and set aside

  14. Remove HEPA filter assembly

    2x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, Pivot rearward edge up and past brake reservoir, then lift up to clear frunk assembly
  15. Power off vehicle from center display

    Via Controls > Safety > Power Off, Select Power Off button at warning dialogue box
  16. Disconnect LV battery connector and First Responder Loop

    2x connectors, Lift up and release green locking tab, Pull black connector lock outwards to release connection, Release red lock tab on FRL, Allow 2 minutes for all electrical circuits to fully discharge
  17. Verify operation of multimeter

    Set multimeter to DC voltage, Confirm multimeter is properly measuring voltage by testing LV battery, Touch lightly and do not damage terminals
  18. Remove all four wheels. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  19. Remove the LH rear wheel arch liner. See Wheel Arch Liner - Rear - LH (Structural Pack) (Remove and Replace).
  20. Raise vehicle fully and lower lift onto locks

  21. Remove push clips at left and right wheel house liner to mid aero shield

  23. Remove all items from pockets and ensure not wearing metal items
  24. Inspect HV insulating gloves

  25. Put on HV insulating gloves and leather over gloves

  26. Install amp clamp to RDU HV harness

    Verify meter is zeroed out before performing measurement, Measure single cable. Verify ammeter is installed in correct direction. If current > 0.5A do not proceed with disconnecting HV connector. In this case, start vehicle electrical isolation again to make sure that all was properly shut down. Escalate for assistance as requiredIf current < 0.5A, Ok to disconnect and check voltage at HV plug on the battery side.
  27. Release RDU HV harness from HV battery

  28. Verify no high voltage at RDU HV header

  1. Install RH rear brake line

  43. Install pressure bleeder adapter onto reservoir
  44. Set brake bleed reservoir pressure to 30 psi

  45. Connect to vehicle using Toolbox 3.0

  46. Select Actions/Autodiag and search for "bleed"
  47. Remove bleeding valve covers and install the fluid catching bottle to LH front brake caliper outer bleeding valve before starting the ESP

Open LH front brake caliper outer bleeding valve then click the play button next to "PROC_ESP_FRONT-L-REAR-R_BRAKE_BLEED" and select Run to start the ESP, then close the bleeding valve once the pump stop running, then repeat the process for inner bleeding valve, and then lastly repeat the process for outer bleeding valve again

  63. Power off brake bleed reservoir and detach brake bleed reservoir from brake bleed adapter
  64. Remove pressure bleeder adapter from reservoir
  65. Check fluid level

  67. Pump the brake pedal a few times to ensure the brake pedal feels normal
  68. Using Toolbox 3:
    1. Select the Actions tab and search for "Stiffness".
    2. Select the ODIN routine IBST Stiffness Test - Service - BURNISHED/UNBURNISHEDTEST_BRAKE_X_STIFFNESS-TEST-SERVICEGen3/tasks/TEST_BRAKE_X_STIFFNESS-TEST-SERVICEChassisChassis / Brakes - Brake Stiffness TestService Mode Service Plus Factory Mode Developer , and then click the link of the routine.
    3. If brake pads or rotors have been replaced, select UNBURNISHED under "Action_Type". In all other cases, select BURNISHED.
    4. Click RUN, and allow the routine to complete.

  76. Install all four wheels. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
