Remove
- Remove the rear fascia. See Fascia - Rear (Remove and Install).
- Disconnect the trailer hitch assembly electrical connector.

Remove the LH nuts (x3) and RH nuts (x3) that attach the trailer hitch assembly to the studs on the body of the vehicle.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 15 mm, 6-point deep socket
- 6 in extension

Remove the trailer hitch assembly from the vehicle.
Tip: Recommend assistance when performing this step.
Install

Maneuver the trailer hitch assembly in place so that the holes are placed over the studs on the body of the vehicle.
Tip: Recommend assistance when performing this step.

Install the LH nuts (x3) and RH nuts (x3) that attach the trailer hitch assembly to the studs on the body of the vehicle.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 15 mm, 6-point deep socket
- 6 in extension
- For EU trailer sockets only: drill a 6 mm drain hole at the lowest point of the trailer socket, at the hinge side of the socket.
- Connect the trailer hitch assembly electrical connector.
- Install the rear fascia. See Fascia - Rear (Remove and Install).
