Assembly - Filter - HEPA (Remove and Replace)

Remove
- Open the LH front door and fully lower the LH front window.
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).

Remove the bolt that
attaches the underhood storage unit to the washer fluid reservoir
neck.
NoteSome vehicles may gave a push clip in this location.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- 4 in extension
- Release the tabs that attach the washer hose to the washer tank neck, and then remove the washer tank neck from the vehicle.

Remove the bolts (x2) that
attach the HEPA filter assembly to the vehicle, and then remove the assembly
from the vehicle.
NotePivot the rear edge of the assembly upward to clear the brake reservoir, and then lift the assembly upward to clear the underhood storage unit.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 4 in extension
- 10 mm socket
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- Ratchet/torque wrench
Install
- To position the HEPA filter assembly for installation, place the forward edge of the filter assembly under the underhood storage unit, and then carefully move the rear edge of the filter assembly past the brake fluid reservoir.

Install the bolts (x2) that
attach the HEPA filter assembly to the vehicle.NotePivot the forward edge down past the frunk assembly, and then carefully move the rear edge past the brake reservoir and into position. Gently press on the RH side of filter to seat seal onto duct. Rework requires new bolts.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 4 in extension
- 10 mm socket
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Install the washer tank neck to the washer tank, and then secure the tabs that attach the washer hose to the washer tank neck.

Install the bolt that attaches the underhood storage unit to the washer
fluid reservoir neck.NoteSome vehicles may gave a push clip in this location.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- 4 in extension
- Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.

Check whether the vehicle cabin and HEPA
filter health score requires reset: On the vehicle touchscreen, touch , and then scroll down to display the vehicle software version.
- If the vehicle software version is older than 2024.14, the cabin filter health score does not need to be reset. Skip to the next step in this procedure.
- If the vehicle software version is
2024.14 or newer:
- Enable Service Mode. See Service Mode.
- If the cabin filter was replaced: In the Service Mode menu, touch , and then touch .
- If the HEPA filter elements or assembly were replaced, touch .
- The cabin and/or HEPA filter health score is now reset. Continue to the next step in this procedure.
