Cover - Seat Back - 2nd Row Seat - RH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the RH 2nd row seat back. See Seat Back - 2nd Row - RH (Remove and Replace).
  2. Fold the seatback to the upright position, and place the assembly on a safe and stable work area.
  3. Remove the RH 2nd row outboard and inboard headrest guide locks. See Guide Lock - Headrest - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the RH 2nd row seat back shoulder switch. See Shoulder Switch – Seat Back – 2nd Row – LH (Remove and Replace).
  5. Remove the RH 2nd row seatback panel. See Back Panel – 2nd Row Seat – RH (Remove and Replace).
  6. Remove the clips that attaches the upholstery support to the RH 2nd row seat frame.
  7. Disconnect the RH 2nd row seat heater electrical connector, and then remove the clip that attaches the connector to the seat.
  8. Lift the upholstery support up to unhook it from the RH 2nd row seat rail.
  9. Release the clips that attach the shoulder switch harness to the RH seat upholstery support, and then remove the harness from the assembly.
  10. Release the hook and tabs (x20) that attach the RH 2nd row seat back upholstery trim flaps from the upholstery support.
  11. Gently separate the upholstery from the foam backing starting from the bottom of the lower seat back working upward.

    Note
    Make sure the Velcro does not tear off the cushion.
  12. Use diagonal cutters to cut the hog rings (x3) at the center of the seat back, and then release the cover from the hog rings.
  13. Separate the remaining portion of the RH seat back upholstery trim cover from the seat.

    For NA only: The seat cover without ISOFIX flag for child locks must be replaced.

Install

  1. Starting from the upper seat back, install the RH seat back upholstery trim cover.

    Note
    Massage the Velcro while working downward toward the center of the seat back.
  2. Use hog ring pliers to crimp new hog rings (1566544-00-A x3) to the RH seat back upholstery trim cover at the center of the seat back.
  3. Attach the remaining portion of the RH seat back upholstery trim cover to the seat.
  4. Install the hook and tabs (x20) that attach the RH 2nd row seat back upholstery trim flaps to the upholstery support.
  5. Install the clips that attach the shoulder switch harness to the RH seat upholstery support.
  6. Install the upholstery support onto the RH 2nd row seat rail.
  7. Attach the connector clip, and then connect the RH 2nd row seat heater electrical connector.
  8. Install the clips that attaches the upholstery support to the RH 2nd row seat frame.
  9. Install the RH 2nd row seatback panel. See Back Panel – 2nd Row Seat – RH (Remove and Replace).
  10. Install the RH 2nd row seat back shoulder switch. See Shoulder Switch – Seat Back – 2nd Row – LH (Remove and Replace).
  11. Install the RH 2nd row outboard and inboard headrest guide locks. See Guide Lock - Headrest - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace).
  12. If used, remove the ballast bag.
  13. Fold down the LH 2nd row seat back.
  14. Install the RH 2nd row seat back. See Seat Back - 2nd Row - RH (Remove and Replace).
