  1. Open all four doors

  3. Move LH front seat backward
  4. Remove LH front floormat
  5. Remove LH mid A-pillar assembly

  6. Remove clip securing LH lower A-pillar trim

  8. Release LH front door seal from body
  9. Remove clip securing LH front cabin carpet to body

  10. Pull LH front cabin carpet away from A-pillar to access LH front seat connector
  11. Remove LH front seat front fasteners

  12. Move LH front seat forward
  13. Release seat belt retractor from LH front seat

  14. Raise LH front seat cushion to maximum height

    Adjust seat back if needed to avoid contacting headliner
  15. Remove LH front seat rear fasteners

    2x patch bolts, T45P, 33.5 Nm, Discard after removal
  16. Adjust position of LH front seat for easy removal

    Move seat to middle of track at most upright position
  17. Open hood
  18. Remove rear apron

  19. Power off vehicle from center display

    Via Controls > Safety & Security > Vehicle Power > Power Off
  20. Disconnect 12V negative terminal and first responders loop

    1x nut, 10mm, 6 Nm, 1x connector, Ensure vehicle is in park, climate control system is off, and vehicle is not charging before disconnecting 12V, Negative terminal should be disconnected before FRL, Allow 2 minutes for all electrical circuits to fully discharge
  21. Disconnect LH front seat harness from VC left

    1x electrical connector, Release the lock by squeezing the release tab, Then fully disengage the lock by moving it away from the VC left, Do not force the connector, If the connector does not easily release from the VC the lock is still engaged

  25. Remove LH front seat from vehicle

  26. Place LH front seat on a protected surface

  27. Install the outboard headrest release tool

    Depress the material around the headrest post to expose the release clip, Ensure both tangs of the release tool engage the retaining spring, The release tool is rotated into position, Images show headrest removed for clarity

  29. Remove the headrest from seat

  30. Remove the inboard headrest release tool

    Rotate the release tool out of position, Do not pull straight up or out

  32. Unhook the straps for the lower section of the seat back and move the seat back flap away from the underside of the seat

    8x clips, Start at the top of the seat and pull the shell away from the frame, When the side clips are free, pull the bottom and carefully roll the bottom tabs out of the slots, If pulled straight out the clips on the seat back can break off, Release remaining clips from underneath seat assembly
  34. Remove the lower flap covering the outboard corner of the seat back frame

    Pull the trim straight up, off of the retaining tabs to release
  35. Remove the upper flap covering the outboard corner of the seat back frame

    Pull the lower section of trim away from the retaining tab to release, then pull the trim straight up off of the upper retaining tab
  36. Remove the outer clips securing the seat upholstery to the seat back frame

  37. Pull the seat upholstery away from the air bag to gain access to the air bag electrical connector
  38. Disconnect LH front seat air bag

  39. Disconnect the recliner motor

  44. Pull outward at front to release outer side cover clip from LH front seat but do not remove

  45. Lift cover rearward to release outer side cover rear tab from LH front seat

  46. Disconnect LH front seat switch connector

  47. Remove the outer trim from the LH front seat

    The rear of the trim will be pulled outward and the trim will need to be lifted off, out of the seat, clearing the cushion and the pretensioner

  52. Remove clips securing seat switch harness to seat cushion frame

  53. Rotate the seat to gain access to the underside of the seat

  70. Disconnect the seat belt buckle and set seat belt buckle aside

  73. Route the seat belt buckle leg of the harness away from the seat to allow the seat harness to be removed

    Route the seat belt buckle leg around the lift motor and away from the seat, The harness will be completely free from the seat at this point
  74. Position the new seat harness for installation

    Route the harness under the lift motor and tilt motor placing the harness legs in the correct locations, Harness clips will be installed later
  75. Install the clips securing the seat belt buckle connector harness to the seat cushion frame

  122. Reseat LH front door seal along lower A-pillar trim
  123. Connect first responder loop and 12V negative terminal

    1x nut, 10mm, 6 Nm, 1x connector, Engage locking tab, Connect FRL first before connecting 12V to avoid damage to car computer
  124. Install rear apron

  126. Move LH front seat forward

  128. Install LH front seat rear fasteners

  129. Move LH front seat backward
