Note
This procedure is to be performed under the condition that the HV battery is outside of the vehicle on the battery table. The correction code for this procedure should be added to the Repair Order separately.

Note
If the damage is larger than 25 mm, do not perform this procedure. Replace the wade seal. See Wade Seal - HV Battery (Structural Pack) (Remove and Replace).

CAUTION
Wear protection gloves when performing this procedure.

Procedure

  1. Prepare the silicone liquid gasket.

    Note
    The opening must be 3 mm wide.
  2. Clean the affected section of the battery wade seal using IPA wipes.

    Allow 1 minute to dry.
  3. Apply the silicone liquid gasket to the affected section of the battery wade seal.

    Use the lowest speed setting on the caulking gun.
  4. Spread the silicone liquid gasket using IPA and smooth it out with the rest of the wade seal.
  5. Let the silicone liquid gasket dry for 20 minutes.
