1. Open all the doors and lower all the windows.
2. Place vehicle in service mode with touchscreen
   Note

   Hold Tesla T icon at top of center display for four seconds and then type "service" into dialog box
3. Remove the ancillary bay cover. See Cover - Ancillary Bay (Structural Pack) (Remove and Replace).
4. Remove the pyrotechnic battery disconnect. See Pyrotechnic Battery Disconnect (Structural Pack) (Remove and Install).
5. Disconnect HV controller connectors
   Note

   7x connectors, Lift hinge upwards to release levered connection

   

   

6. Release harness clips from HVC hinge tray and route harness away
   Note

   3x clips

   

7. Remove bolts securing HV controller hinge tray to HV battery
   Note

   2x bolts, 8mm, 2 Nm

   

   

8. Remove HV controller and tray from ancillary bay

   

9. Remove 63A fuse cover
   Note

   2x securing tabs

   

10. Disconnect HVIL connector from HV heatpump harness
    Note

    1x connector

    

11. Remove 63A fuse from ancillary bay
    Note

    2x nuts, 8mm, 2.5 Nm, Discard after removal

    

12. Remove inner 63A fuse from ancillary bay
    Note

    2x nuts, 8mm, 2.5 Nm, Discard after removal

    

13. Remove ancillary bay harness from plastic bobbin stud

    

14. Remove bolts securing PCS to HV battery
    Note

    6x bolts, 8mm, 6 Nm, Ensure ONLY the 8mm fasteners are removed, Do not remove the T30 fasteners

    

15. Remove ancillary bay harness from negative DC link
    Note

    1x nut, 8mm, 1.5 Nm, Discard nut after removal

    

16. Release ancillary bay harness from tray between PCS and bobbin
    Note

    1x clip

    

17. Remove nut securing auxiliary fuse jumper busbar
    Note

    1x nut, 8mm, 2.5 Nm, Discard after removal, Slightly shift PCS to gain access to nut, Discard nut after removal

    

    

18. Remove auxiliary fuse jumper busbar

    

    

19. Install auxiliary fuse jumper busbar

    

    

20. Install nut securing auxiliary fuse jumper busbar
    Note

    1x nut, 8mm, 2.5 Nm, Install new nut, Shift PCS back into original position

    

21. Install bolts securing PCS to HV battery
    Note

    6x bolts, 8mm, 6 Nm

    

22. Secure ancillary bay harness onto tray between PCS and bobbin
    Note

    1x clip

    

23. Install ancillary bay harness to negative DC link
    Note

    1x nut, 8mm, 1.5 Nm, Install new nut

    

24. Install ancillary bay harness from plastic bobbin stud

    

25. Install inner 63A fuse into ancillary bay
    Note

    2x nuts, 8mm, 2.5 Nm, Install new nuts

    

    

26. Install 63A fuse into ancillary bay
    Note

    2x nuts, 8mm, 2.5 Nm, Install new nuts

    

    

27. Place holder- Perform Hioki measurement at the joint from 63A fuse to terminal
    Note

    1x HV joint, 105µΩ or less, Perform zero adjust to Hioki meter prior to testing

    

28. Place holder- Perform Hioki measurement at the joint of 63A fuse to auxiliary jumper busbar
    Note

    1x HV joint, 105µΩ or less, Perform zero adjust to Hioki meter prior to testing

    

29. Place holder- Perform Hioki measurement at the joint of inner 63A fuse to flag nut
    Note

    1x HV joint, 105µΩ or less, Perform zero adjust to Hioki meter prior to testing

    

30. Place holder- Perform Hioki measurement at the joint of inner 63A fuse to auxiliary jumper busbar
    Note

    1x HV joint, 105µΩ or less, Perform zero adjust to Hioki meter prior to testing

    

31. Connect HVIL connector onto tray
    Note

    1x connector

    

32. Install 63A fuse cover
    Note

    2x securing tabs

    

33. Position HV controller and tray into ancillary bay

    

34. Install bolts securing HV controller hinge tray to HV battery
    Note

    2x bolts, 8mm, 2 Nm

    

    

35. Measure the voltage across the pyrotechnic battery disconnect mount points, and then install the pyrotechnic battery disconnect. See Pyrotechnic Battery Disconnect (Structural Pack) (Remove and Install).
36. Install the ancillary bay cover. See Cover - Ancillary Bay (Structural Pack) (Remove and Replace).
37. Exit Service Mode through UI
    Note

    Controls > Service Mode > Exit Service Mode
38. Raise all the windows
39. Close all the doors
    Note

    If 12V is powered up, Unlatch rear doors before closing
