Sliding Lid - Center Console (Remove and Replace)

Remove
Note
This procedure is performed with the center console installed in the vehicle. Some
images may show the center console outside of the vehicle, but that is only to provide
more clarity on the fasteners and components.
- Open the LH and RH front doors and lower the LH and RH front windows.
- Move the driver and front passenger seats to the most rearward and lowest position.
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Disconnect LV power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).

Open the armrest.

Release the clips (x17) that attach
the center console decor to the center console, then disconnect the electrical
connector, and then remove the decor from the vehicle.
NoteRelease all surrounding clips, and then release front upper portion of the trim.

Remove the bolts (x14) that attach the
bright strip to the center console.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 bit

Release the locating tabs (x12) that
attach the bright strip to the center console, and then remove the bright strip from the
vehicle.

Release the clips (x6) that attach the
cup holder to the center console, and then disconnect the security body controller
module electrical connector.

Disconnect the cup holder electrical
connectors (x2).

Remove the screws (x4) that attach the
cup holder to the center console.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 bit

Release the clips (x2) that attach the
cup holder to the center console, and then remove cup holder from the vehicle.
NoteFeed the electrical harness through the access hole.

Disconnect the sliding lid electrical
connector, and release the tabs (x2) that attach sliding lid to the center
console.
CAUTIONDo not pull on the electrical connector wires.

Remove the screws (x9) that attach the
sliding lid to the center console.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 bit

Lift straight up to remove the sliding
lid from the center console.
Install
-
Position the sliding lid onto the
center console.
NoteAlign with the locating pins (x2) on the center console side.

Install the screws (x9) that attach
the sliding lid onto the center console.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 bit

Connect the sliding lid electrical
connector, and then fasten the tabs that attach the electrical connector to the center
console.

Install the cup holder into position,
and then secure it with clips (x2).
NoteFeed the electrical harness through the access hole.

Install the screws (x4) that attach
the cup holder to the center console.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 bit

Connect the cup holder electrical
connectors (x2).

Connect the security body controller
module electrical connector, and then fasten the clips (x6) that attach the cup holder
decor to the center console.

Position the center console bright
strip onto the center console, and then fasten it with locating tabs (x12).
NoteVerify that there are no gaps present along the strip.

Install the bolts (x14) that attach
the bright strip to the center console.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 bit
-
Connect the electrical connector, and
then fasten then clips (x17) that attach the center console decor to the center
console.
- Close the center console armrest.
- Reconnect LV power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
- Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Restore the driver and front passenger seats back to their original position.
