Seat Track - Outer - 2nd Row Seat - RH (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the RH 2nd row seat assembly. See Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - RH (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  2. Release the clips that attach the RH 2nd row seat toe kick cover to the seat assembly, and then remove the cover from the assembly.
  3. Remove the clip that attaches the RH 2nd row seat side shield to the cushion pan.
  4. Release the clip that attaches the RH 2nd row seat side shield to the RH 2nd row seat assembly, and then lift the shield up to release it from the assembly.

    Note
    Do not pull the shield away from the assembly as there is still an electrical connector connected
  5. Disconnect the RH 2nd row seat side shield electrical connector, and then remove the shield from the assembly.
  6. Release the clips (x4) that attach the RH 2nd row seat outer B-cover from the inner B-cover, and slide the cover towards the rear of the seat to remove it from the assembly.
  7. Fold the seat to the upright position.
  8. Remove the screw that attaches the RH 2nd row seat inner B-cover to the cushion pan.
    1.5 Nm (1.1 lbs-ft)

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  9. Release the hook that attaches the inner B-cover to the RH 2nd row seat assembly.
  10. Release the clips that attach the RH 2nd row seat cushion harness to the seat podium.
  11. Remove the clip that attaches the RH 2nd row seat cushion pan to the seat frame.
  12. Slightly lift the RH 2nd row seat cushion pan upward, but do not fully remove the cushion at this time.
  13. Disconnect the RH 2nd row seat recliner actuator electrical connector.
  14. Using the seat fold tool, connect the recliner actuator electrical connector into the recliner actuator, and then activate the switch to release the floor latches.
  15. Disconnect the seat fold tool from the RH 2nd row seat.
  16. Connect the RH 2nd row seat recliner actuator electrical connector.
  17. Position the RH 2nd row seat on its LH side.
  18. Remove the bolts that attach the RH 2nd row seat podium to the seat tracks.
    37 Nm (27.3 lbs-ft)

    • 11 mm socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  19. With assistance, remove the RH 2nd row seat podium from the seat track.

    Note
    Use one hand to engage the towel bar, and then move the inner seat track rearward with the other hand until the groove on the seat podium releases from the inner seat track. Lift the podium to remove it from the seat track.
  20. Release the clips that attach the RH 2nd row seat easy entry actuator cable to the RH easy entry latch.
  21. Remove the nuts that attach the RH 2nd row seat outer track to the seat frame assembly.
    37 Nm (27.3 lbs-ft)

    • 6 in extension
  22. Slide the RH 2nd row seat outer track away from the towel bar to remove it from the seat assembly.

Install

  1. Install the 2nd row seat outer track onto the towel bar.
  2. Install the RH 2nd row seat outer track into the seat frame assembly, and then install the nuts.
    37 Nm (27.3 lbs-ft)

    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • 6 in extension
  3. Install the RH 2nd row seat easy entry actuator cable to the RH easy entry latch.
  4. With assistance, install the RH 2nd row seat podium onto the seat track.

    Note
    Install the groove on the podium onto the outer seat track, and then align the groove on the podium onto the inner seat track. Engage the towel bar with one hand, and then move the inner seat track inward until the groove on the podium engages the seat track.
  5. Install the bolts that attach the RH 2nd row seat podium to the seat seat tracks.
    37 Nm (27.3 lbs-ft)

    • 11 mm socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  6. Position the RH 2nd row seat onto the seat tracks and floor latches.

    Note
    Push downward on the seat frame assembly to latch the floor latches.
  7. Fully seat the RH 2nd row seat cushion assembly onto the seat frame.

    CAUTION
    Be careful not to pinch the actuator cables or cushion harness.
  8. Install the clip that attaches the RH 2nd row seat cushion pan to the seat frame.
  9. Fasten the clips that attach the RH 2nd row seat cushion harness to the podium.
  10. Fasten the hook that attaches the inner B-cover to the RH 2nd row seat assembly.
  11. Install the screw that attaches the RH 2nd row seat inner B-cover to the cushion pan.
    1.5 Nm (1.1 lbs-ft)

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  12. Disconnect the RH 2nd row seat recliner actuator electrical connector.
  13. Using the seat fold tool, connect the recliner actuator electrical connector into the recliner actuator, and then activate the switch to fold the RH 2nd row seat down.
  14. Disconnect the seat fold tool from the RH 2nd row seat.
  15. Connect the RH 2nd row seat recliner actuator electrical connector.
  16. Position the RH 2nd row seat outer B-cover onto the inner B-cover, and then install the clips (x4).
  17. Connect the RH 2nd row seat side shield electrical connector.
  18. Position the RH 2nd row seat side shield onto the RH 2nd row seat assembly, and then install the clip.
  19. Install the clip that attaches the RH 2nd row seat side shield to the cushion pan.
  20. Install the RH 2nd row seat toe kick cover.
  21. Install the RH 2nd row seat assembly. See Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - RH (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace).
