Trim - C-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace)

Torque Specifications

Replace

Remove

  1. Open all the doors and fully lower all the windows.
  2. Move the front seats to the foremost positions.
  3. Remove the 2nd row lower seat cushion. See Seat Cushion - Lower - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace).
  4. Partially remove the LH rear door seal.
  5. Fold the LH rear passenger seat back down.
  6. Remove the rear trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  7. Remove the front trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Front (Remove and Replace).
  8. Remove the trunk sill trim. See Trim - Sill - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  9. Remove the LH load floor bracket. See Bracket - Trunk Load Floor - LH (Remove and Replace).
  10. Remove the LH trunk pocket bracket. See Bracket - Trunk Pocket - LH (Remove and Replace).
  11. Remove the LH trunk side trim. See Trim - Side - Trunk - LH (Remove and Replace).
  12. Release the clips (x6) that attach the upper C-pillar trim, and then set the trim aside.

    Note
    Guide the front upper corner groove out of the headliner.
  13. Remove and discard the bolt that attaches the 2nd row LH lower seat belt anchor to the body.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 15 mm socket
    • 3 in extension
  14. Release the clips that attach the guide bezel to the LH upper C-pillar trim, and then separate the bezel from the seat belt.
  15. Feed the seat belt through the LH upper C-pillar trim, and then remove the trim.

Install

  1. Feed the seat belt through the LH upper C-pillar trim assembly.
  2. Install the guide bezel to the seat belt, and then install the bezel to the LH upper C-pillar trim.
  3. Install a new bolt that attaches the 2nd row LH lower seat belt anchor to the body.
    35 Nm (25.8 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 15 mm socket
    • 3 in extension
  4. Install the clips (x6) that attach the upper C-pillar trim.

    Note
    Guide the front upper corner groove under the headliner, and then insert the guide tab to headliner behind quarter glass. Ensure the trunk seal is seated on the edge of the trim.
  5. Install the LH trunk side trim. See Trim - Side - Trunk - LH (Remove and Replace).
  6. Install the LH trunk pocket bracket. See Bracket - Trunk Pocket - LH (Remove and Replace).
  7. Install the LH load floor bracket. See Bracket - Trunk Load Floor - LH (Remove and Replace).
  8. Install the trunk sill trim. See Trim - Sill - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  9. Install the front trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Front (Remove and Replace).
  10. Install the rear trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  11. Return the LH rear passenger seat back to its original position.
  12. Seat the LH rear door seal back into position.

    Seat the pillar and sill trim tabs underneath the seal.
  13. Install the 2nd row lower seat cushion. See Seat Cushion - Lower - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace).
  14. Move the front seats to their original positions.
  15. Close all the doors and fully raise all the windows.
