Power Socket 12V - Center Console (Remove and Replace)

Torque Specifications

  • Torx T20 bit
  • Wiha Torque Screwdriver 0.8-5 Nm screwdriver (installation only)
Reuse

Remove

  1. Open all doors and lower all windows.
  2. Move both front seats to the most rearward and the lowest position.
  3. Disconnect 12V power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  4. Open the armrest.
  5. Partially move the center console decor aside.

    Note
    Release all surrounding clips, and partially move the two sides of the decor aside.
  6. Partially remove the screws (x8) that attach the bright work to the center console and move the bright work to the side.

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 bit
    • Wiha Torque Screwdriver 0.8-5 Nm screwdriver (installation only)
  7. Release the clips (x6) that secure the cup holder décor, and then disconnect the connector.
  8. Disconnect the 12V outlet connector.
  9. Release the tabs and move the power socket out through the cupholder assembly.

Install

  1. Install the power socket through the cupholder assembly, and secure the tabs.
  2. Connect the 12V outlet connector.
  3. Connect the connector, and then install the clips (x6) that secure the cup holder décor.
  4. Install the screws (x8) that attach the bright work to the center console.
    1.6 Nm (1.2 lbs-ft)

  5. Install the center console decor back.
  6. Close the center console armrest.
  7. Connect 12V power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  8. Move both front seats to original position.
  9. Raise all windows and close all doors.
