Switch Box - Actuator - 2nd Row Seat - LH (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the LH 2nd row seat assembly. See Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - LH (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  2. With assistance, place the LH 2nd row seat assembly on a stable work area.

    CAUTION
    Prevent the seat assembly from tipping over. Fold the center armrest down to stabilize the weight. Use a ballast bag and ay additional support as needed.
  3. Remove the LH 2nd row seat toe kick cover. See Cover - Toe Kick - 2nd Row Seat - LH (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the bolts that attach the LH 2nd row seat rear cushion pan to the seat frame.
    2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  5. Remove the clip that attaches the LH 2nd row seat side shield to the seat assembly.
  6. Lift the LH 2nd row seat side shield up and away from the seat assembly to release it.

    CAUTION
    Do not pull the side shield away from the seat assembly as there is still an electrical connector connected.
  7. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat side shield electrical connector, and then remove the side shield from the assembly.
  8. Remove the LH 2nd row seat cushion pan bolt.
    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • 4 in extension
  9. Release the clips that attach the LH 2nd row seat inboard outer cover from the inboard inner assembly, and then remove the cover from the assembly.
  10. Release hook that attaches the LH 2nd row seat strap to the inboard inner assembly.
  11. Remove the LH 2nd row seat inboard inner assembly bolt.
    1.5 Nm (1.1 lbs-ft)

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  12. Place the LH 2nd row seat assembly on its back.
  13. Remove the LH 2nd row seat seat cushion pan clips.
  14. Lift up on the LH 2nd row seat cushion assembly, but do not remove it.
  15. Disconnect the floor latch actuator electrical connector.
  16. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat easy entry actuator electrical connector.
  17. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat actuator switch box.
  18. Remove the bolts that attach the LH 2nd row seat actuator switch box to the seat assembly, and then remove the switch box from the seat assembly.
    2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 8 mm socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Install

  1. Position the LH 2nd row seat actuator switch box into the seat assembly, and then install the bolts that attach the switch box to the assembly.
    2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 8 mm socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  2. Connect the LH 2nd row seat actuator switch box.
  3. Connect the floor latch actuator electrical connector.
  4. Connect the LH 2nd row seat easy entry actuator electrical connector.
  5. Lower the LH 2nd row seat cushion assembly.

    Note
    Ensure the cables and wiring harness are not pinched between the seat cushion assembly and seat frame.
  6. Install the LH 2nd row seat seat cushion pan clips.
  7. Remove the LH 2nd row seat inboard inner assembly screw.
    1.5 Nm (1.1 lbs-ft)

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  8. Hook the LH 2nd row seat strap to the inboard inner assembly.
  9. Install the LH 2nd row seat inboard outer cover onto the inboard inner assembly.
  10. Install the LH 2nd row seat seat cushion pan bolt.
    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)

    • 10 mm socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • 4 in extension
  11. Connect the LH 2nd row seat side shield electrical connector.
  12. Lift up on the LH 2nd row seat side shield, and then hook the side shield onto the seat cushion assembly.
  13. Install the clip that attaches the LH 2nd row seat side shield to the seat assembly.
  14. Install the bolts that attach the LH 2nd row seat rear cushion pan to the seat frame.
    2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)

    • 10 mm deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  15. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat recliner actuator electrical connector.
  16. Using the seat fold tool, connect the recliner actuator electrical connector into the recliner actuator, and then activate the switch to fold the LH 2nd row seat down.
  17. Disconnect the seat fold tool from the LH 2nd row seat.
  18. Connect the LH 2nd row seat recliner actuator electrical connector.
  19. Install the LH 2nd row seat toe kick cover. See Cover - Toe Kick - 2nd Row Seat - LH (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  20. With assistance, position the LH 2nd row seat assembly into the vehicle.
  21. Connect the logic electrical connector at the LH 2nd row seat frame.
  22. Install and hand tighten new bolts that attach the LH 2nd row seat to the vehicle.
  23. Torque the bolts that attach the LH 2nd row seat assembly to the vehicle.
    37 Nm (27.3 lbs-ft)

    Torque the bolts in the following sequence: outboard front, inboard rear (x2), outboard rear, inboard front.

    • 11 mm deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  24. Position the cabin carpet into place, and then secure the Velcro.
  25. Fold the LH 2nd row seat to the upright position.
  26. Install the LH 2nd row seat outboard track cover. See Cover - Seat Track - 2nd Row Seat - LH (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  27. Install the 2nd row seat center track cover. See Cover - Seat Track - 2nd Row Seat - Center (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  28. Install the LH lower C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  29. Move the front seats to the original positions.
  30. Raise all the windows and close all the doors.
