- 2023-04-14: Added tip for removal and note for installation.
Remove
- Open all doors.
- Lower all windows.
- Remove the 2nd row lower seat cushion. See Seat Cushion - Lower - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace).
-
Release the portion of the
LH rear door seal that overlaps the LH lower c-pillar trim.
NoteThe pillar and sill trims have tabs seated underneath the seal.
-
Release the clips (x5) that
attach the LH lower c-pillar trim to the vehicle, and then remove the trim
from the vehicle.
Tip: To later aid with installation, note how the lower c-pillar trim mates with the LH trunk side trim.Tip: Release the clips at the front of trim and work rearward.NotePerform a push-pull test after installation. The clip position should not be adjusted after the bracket is removed or it will result in the bracket not seating properly. If the clip position is changed or the push-pull action shows the bracket is not secure, remove the clip from the tab, and then seat the clip into the doghouse on the bracket and reinstall.
Install
Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:
- If reusing the same rear LH lower c-pillar trim, install new clips onto the trim.
- Make sure that the door seal overlaps the trim.
