ECU - Charge Port (Remove and Replace)

Remove
- Open all doors and lower the windows.
- Open the liftgate.
- Move the driver seat and front passenger seat fully forward.
- Disconnect 12V/LV power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
- Remove the 2nd row lower seat cushion. See Seat Cushion - Lower - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace)
- Remove the LH lower C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the rear trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the front trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Front (Remove and Replace)
- Remove the trunk sill trim. See Trim - Sill - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the LH trunk side trim. See Trim - Side - Trunk - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Disconnect the 3 electrical connectors from the charge port ECU.

Remove the bolt that
attaches the charge port ECU to the body.

Slide the charge port ECU to
the right to release the tabs (x2) that attach the ECU to the body, and then
remove the ECU from the vehicle.
NoteIf white enclosure is installed, slide to the right, if black enclosure is installed, slide to the left before removing.
Install
Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

Reinstall the vehicle firmware. See
Software Reinstall - Touchscreen.
NoteOnce the new ECU is installed, immediately start the software reinstall, as delays might cause excessive 12V/LV battery drain.
