Front Seat Assemblies - 1st Row Seat Assembly - LH Drive - RH - Black (Remove and Install)

Remove
- Open the RH front door and lower the RH front window.
- Place the vehicle into Service Mode. See Service Mode.
- Move the RH front seat fully forward.

Use a flathead screwdriver to
rotate the lock mechanism on the front seat belt linkage counterclockwise to
release it from the pretensioner, and then slide the linkage off the
pretensioner and set it aside.
CAUTIONDO NOT rotate clockwise to avoid damage to the mechanism.NoteThe linkage design may vary, but will function the same.NoteThe lock screw will remain in the horizontal position when released.NoteA light audible click will be heard when the linkage is released.
- Open the RH rear door and lower the RH rear window.
- Fold the RH 2nd row seat to the up position.

Remove and discard the bolts (x2) that
attach the rear of the RH front seat tracks to the floor panel.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx Plus T45 socket
- Move the RH front seat fully rearward.

Remove and discard the bolts (x2) that
attach the front of the RH front seat tracks to the risers.Remove bolts securing front of RH front seat tracks to risersTip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx Plus T45 socket
- Move the seat to the middle of track and to the most upright position.
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Disconnect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power.

Release the connector lock, and then
disconnect the RH front seat electrical connector.
NoteRelease the yellow locking tab, and then release the black lever to disconnect the connector.

With assistance, lift the seat off the
risers, rotate the seat sideways, and then remove the seat out of the RH rear door
opening.
CAUTIONBe careful not to damage any components during removal.
Install

With assistance, position the RH front
seat into the vehicle.
CAUTIONBe careful not to damage surrounding components during installation.

Connect the RH front seat electrical
connector, engage the black lever, and then engage the yellow locking tab.
- Reconnect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power.
- Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).

Install new bolts (x2) that attach the
rear of the RH front seat tracks to the floor panel.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx Plus T45 socket
- Fold the RH 2nd row seat to the down position.
- Raise the RH rear window and close the RH rear door.

Install the front seat belt
linkage to the pretensioner:
- Move the RH front seat fully rearward.

Install new bolts (x2) that attach the
front of the RH front seat tracks to the risers.Install bolts securing RH front seat front tracks to vehicleTip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx Plus T45 socket
- Restore the RH front seat back to its original position.
- Open the RH front door and lower the RH front window.
