NOTE: Unless otherwise explicitly
stated in the procedure, the above correction code and FRT reflect all of the work
required to perform this procedure, including the linked procedures. Do not stack correction codes unless
explicitly told to do so.
NOTE: See Flat Rate Times to
learn more about FRTs and how they are
created.
NOTE: See Personal Protection to make sure proper PPE is worn
when performing the
below
procedure.
- 2026-03-27: Updated procedure using Power Conversion System removal and installation.
- 2026-01-09: Added sealant part number and bead specification.
Equipment:
- 1018331-00-B (ADHESIVE,CURE IN PLACE,SILICONE,CRTRDG)
Remove
- Remove the HV battery and the Power Conversion System. See Power Conversion System (Remove and Replace)
-
Remove the nuts (x2) that attach the
A/C compressor fuse to the mounting studs.
-
Use the fuse puller to remove the
electrical harness terminal from the mounting stud and move aside.
-
Use the HV insulated pick together
with the fuse puller to carefully move the A/C compressor fuse out from under the
electrical harness wires, and out of the front bay of the HV battery.
Install
- Perform a zero adjust of the Hioki resistance meter in preparation to measure resistances later in this procedure. See .
-
Use the fuse puller to carefully
install the A/C compressor fuse onto the mounting studs.
-
Use the fuse puller to install the
electrical harness terminal onto the mounting stud.
-
Install the nuts (x2) that attach the
A/C compressor fuse to the mounting studs.
2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft) -
Use the Hioki resistance meter to
measure the resistance at the HV joint of the A/C compressor fuse and the positive DC
busbar.
CAUTIONDo not short the side of the probe tip to the edge of the fuse lug.NoteThe resistance must be less than 0.145 mΩ (145 μΩ). There is too much resistance in the High Voltage joint. Remove the fastener, clean areas with isopropyl alcohol, install fastener back and test again.

Use the Hioki resistance meter to
measure the resistance at the HV joint of the A/C compressor fuse and the electrical
harness terminal.
CAUTIONDo not short the side of the probe tip to the edge of the nut's captive washer.NoteThe resistance must be less than 0.145 mΩ (145 μΩ). There is too much resistance in the High Voltage joint. Remove the fastener, clean areas with isopropyl alcohol, install fastener back and test again.
