Brake Hose - Flexible - Front - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  2. Remove the LH front wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  3. Remove the bolt that attaches the brake hose to the LH front knuckle
  4. Remove the bolt that attaches the LH front brake hose to the LH front air spring module.
  5. Position an oil drain underneath the LH front corner of the vehicle.
  6. Remove the banjo bolt that attaches the brake hose to the LH front brake caliper. Catch any fluid lost in the oil drain.
  7. Disconnect the LH front brake hose from the LH front brake line.
  8. Remove the clip that attaches the LH front brake hose to the bracket.
  9. Remove the LH front brake hose from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Route the LH front brake hose to the vehicle in the original position.
  2. Install the clip that attaches the LH front brake hose to the bracket.
  3. Connect the LH front brake hose to the LH front brake line.

  4. Install the banjo bolt that attaches the brake hose to the LH front brake caliper.

    1x banjo bolt, 11mm, 42 Nm, Catch any fluid lost in waste container
  5. Remove the oil drain from beneath the LH front corner of the vehicle.
  6. Install the bolt that attaches the LH front brake hose to the LH front air spring module.

  7. Install the bolt that attaches the brake hose to the LH front knuckle.

  8. Perform a brake fluid flush on the LH front wheel. See Brake Fluid Bleed/Flush (Remove and Replace).
  9. Perform a vehicle road test using a series of ABS-active stops and make sure proper brake pedal feel and performance is achieved.
