Latch - Door - Front - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove
- Remove the LH front door trim decor. See .
- Remove the LH front door trim panel. See Panel - Door Trim - Front - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove the remaining clip retainers
from the LH front door.
NoteThe number of retainers will vary with each removal.

Remove the bolts (x6) that attach the
LH front door closeout panel from the door assembly, release the closeout panel from the
door assembly, and then route the handle cable through the closeout panel to remove it
from the assembly.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 8 mm socket
- 2 in extension

Connect the window master switch to
the LH front door harness, and then fully raise the LH front window.
NoteConnect the door panel x927 if the switch kit is not available.

Remove and discard the bolts (x2) that
attach the LH front door latch to the door assembly.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T45 socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Release the clips (x2) that attach the
LH front door release cable and harness to the door assembly.

Release the connector lock, and then
disconnect the LH front door latch assembly electrical connector.

Carefully maneuver the LH front door
latch assembly around the window regulator, and then remove it from the vehicle.
Install

Carefully maneuver the LH front door
latch assembly around the window regulator into position, and then route the release
cable underneath the door harness assembly.

Connect the LH front door latch
assembly electrical connector, and then engage the connector lock.

Install the clips (x2) that attach the
LH front door release cable and harness to the door assembly.
NoteEnsure the release cable is routed underneath the door harness assembly.

Install new bolts (x2) that attach the
LH front door latch to the door assembly.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T45 socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Route the cable through the LH front
door closeout panel, position the closeout panel onto the door assembly, and then
install the bolts (x6) that attach the closeout panel to the door assembly.NoteMake sure the inner door handle manual release cable is routed properly.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 8 mm socket
- 2 in extension
- Install the LH front door trim panel. See Panel - Door Trim - Front - LH (Remove and Replace)
- Install the LH front door trim decor. See .
- Close the LH front door.

Check the gap fitment of LH front door
decor to the IP decor.
NoteRefer to CVIS for current specification targets.
- Open the LH front door.

Turn the adjustment nut to adjust the
LH front door trim as necessary.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 18 mm deep socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- 6 in extension
- Torx T30 socket
NoteLoosen the T30 nut and rotate the nut to achieve desired specification. Rotate clockwise to close the gap, and counterclockwise to tighten the gap. Torque the T30 fastener to lock. - Install the LH front door trim decor. See .

Check the gap fitment of LH front door decor to the IP decor.

- Close the LH front door.
