Tesla Badge - Front (Remove and Replace)

Reuse

Remove

  1. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the LH and RH underhood aprons. See Underhood Apron - LH (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the front underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Front (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the screws (x3) that attach the T-badge to the T-badge support.

    Note
    One fastener is located under the rear lip.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket
    • 4 in extension
    • Torque wrench ¼ in drive hexagon - 1060071-00-A

Install

  1. Position the front Tesla T-badge onto the T-badge support, and then install the screws (x3).
    1.8 Nm (1.3 lbs-ft)

  2. Install the front underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Front (Remove and Replace).
  3. Install the LH and RH underhood aprons. See Underhood Apron - LH (Remove and Replace).
  4. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
