Hose - Front Drive Unit Heat Exchanger to Supermanifold (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  2. Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Install).
  3. Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  4. Remove the front aero shield. See Panel - Aero Shield - Front (Remove and Replace).
  5. Remove the front skidplate. See Skidplate - Front (Remove and Replace).
  6. Position a foldable funnel under the front drive unit.
  7. Place a coolant drain container under the front of the vehicle.
  8. Release the clip, disconnect the front drive unit heat exchanger to supermanifold hose from the heat exchanger, then immediately plug both fittings.
  9. Remove the coolant drain container from underneath the vehicle.
  10. Lower the vehicle fully.
  11. Place a coolant catcher under the front of the vehicle.
  12. Release the clip, disconnect the front drive unit heat exchanger to supermanifold hose from the supermanifold, then immediately plug both fittings.
  13. Remove the front drive unit heat exchanger to supermanifold hose from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Remove the plugs, immediately connect the front drive unit heat exchanger to supermanifold hose to the supermanifold, then fasten the clip.

    Note
    Perform a push-pull-push test on the fittings to make sure that they are secure.
  2. Remove the coolant catcher from under the vehicle.
  3. Raise the vehicle fully.
  4. Place a coolant drain container under the front of the vehicle.
  5. Remove the plugs, immediately connect the front drive unit heat exchanger to supermanifold hose to the heat exchanger, then fasten the clip.

    Note
    Perform a push-pull-push test on the fittings to make sure that they are secure.
  6. Remove the foldable funnel from under the front drive unit.
  7. Remove the coolant drain container from underneath the vehicle.
  8. Spray the area with brake cleaner and wipe any residue off with towel.
  9. Install the front skidplate. See Skidplate - Front (Remove and Replace).
  10. Install the front aero shield. See Panel - Aero Shield - Front (Remove and Replace).
  11. Lower the vehicle fully.
  12. Perform the cooling system (partial refill and bleed) procedure. See Cooling System (Partial Refill and Bleed).
  13. Install the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Install).
  14. Remove the vehicle from the 2 post lift. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
