Motor - Seat Height - Driver's Seat (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower both LH windows.
  2. Move the steering column to the fully upward and most inward position.
  3. Remove and discard the bolts (x2) that attach the rear of the 1st row LH seat tracks to the floor panel.
  4. Remove and discard the bolts (x2) that attach the front of the 1st row LH seat tracks to the floor panel.
  5. Fully lower the LH front seat.
  6. Tilt the LH seat angle fully upwards.
  7. Tilt LH front seat backwards.

    Take care not to damage the center console and/or rear seat. Protect as necessary.
  8. Disconnect the height adjuster motor connector.
  9. Remove and discard the bolt that attaches the seat height adjuster leadscrew tube to the RH side rear link.
  10. Remove and discard the bolt that attaches the seat height adjuster motor.
  11. Remove the seat height adjuster motor.

Install

  1. Position the LH seat height adjuster motor, and then insert the upper and lower bolts into position.

    Use new bolts 1106615-00-A and 1109796-00-A.
  2. Torque the bolt that attaches the front seat height adjuster leadscrew tube to the RH side rear link.
    18 Nm (13.3 lbs-ft)
  3. Torque the bolt that attaches the seat height adjuster motor.
    23 Nm (17.0 lbs-ft)
  4. Connect the height adjuster motor connector.
  5. Reposition the LH front seat onto the front seat risers.
  6. Install new bolts (1621071-00-A x2) that attach the front seat rear tracks to the floor panel.
    34 Nm (25.1 lbs-ft)
  7. Install new bolts (1621071-00-A x2) that attach the front seat front tracks to the floor panel.
    34 Nm (25.1 lbs-ft)
  8. Adjust the steering column to the original position.
  9. Perform the following routine using Service Mode or Toolbox (see 0005 - Service Modes):
  10. Close all doors and windows.
