Trim - Lower - Fascia - Rear (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the rear fascia assembly. See Fascia Assembly - Rear (Remove and Install).
  2. Remove the LH and RH rear reflex lamps. See Lamp - Reflex - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the top LH and RH bolts that attach the rear diffuser to the rear fascia assembly.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

  4. Position the rear fascia assembly upside down on workbench.
  5. Remove the screws (x2) and release the tabs (x10) that attach the tow hitch cover to the rear fascia assembly, and then remove the cover from the assembly.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Large flathead screwdriver
  6. Remove the bottom bolts (x6) that attach the rear diffuser to the rear fascia assembly.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  7. Position the rear fascia assembly upright on the workbench.
  8. Release the tabs (x8) that attach the rear diffuser to the rear fascia assembly, and then remove the diffuser from the assembly.
  9. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the rear lower fascia to the rear fascia assembly.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  10. Release the tabs (x23) that attach the rear lower fascia to the rear fascia assembly, and then remove the lower fascia from the assembly.

    Insert a pick behind the lower fascia tab, and the rotate to pry the fascia assembly tab upward.

Install

  1. Place rear fascia assembly upside down on flat and protected surface
  2. Position the rear lower fascia onto the rear fascia assembly, and then secure the tabs (x23) that attach the lower fascia to the assembly.

  3. Place the rear fascia assembly upright on the workbench.
  4. Install the bolts that attach the rear lower fascia to the rear fascia assembly.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  5. Position the rear diffuser onto rear fascia assembly, and then secure the tabs (x8) that attach the diffuser to the fascia.
  6. Install the top LH and RH bolts that attach the rear diffuser to the rear fascia assembly.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

  7. Place the rear fascia assembly upside down on workbench.
  8. Install the bottom bolts (x6) that attach the rear diffuser to the rear fascia assembly.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  9. Position the tow hitch cover onto the rear fascia assembly, and then secure the tabs (x10) that attach the cover to the fascia.
  10. Install the bolts that attach the tow hitch cover to the rear fascia.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Large flathead screwdriver
  11. Place the rear fascia assembly upright on workbench.
  12. Install the LH and RH rear reflex lamps. See Lamp - Reflex - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  13. Install the rear fascia assembly. See Fascia Assembly - Rear (Remove and Install).
