  1. Open RH front door
  2. Open hood

    Select Controls > Frunk Open
  3. Move RH front seat backward
  4. Remove rear underhood apron

    8x clips
  5. Power off vehicle from center display

    Via Controls > Safety & Security > Power Off
  6. Disconnect LV battery connector and First Responder Loop

    2x connectors, Lift up and release green locking tab, Pull black connector lock outwards to release connection
  7. Remove RH footwell cover

    3x magnets, 1x connector, 4x datums
  8. Remove fasteners securing RH knee air bag assembly to vehicle

    2x bolts, 10mm, 8 Nm, 1x clip, Discard after removal
  9. Remove RH knee air bag assembly from vehicle

    2x connectors, 6x tabs, 1x clip, Release 2x locking tab on airbag connector
  10. Remove RH knee air bag cover brace

    2x patch bolts, E10, 8 Nm, Discard after removal
  11. Remove knee air bag from RH IP KAB cover assembly

    4x patch bolts, E10, 8 Nm, 5x tabs, Discard after removal, Rotate airbag out of cover
  12. Secure knee airbag to RH IP KAB cover assemlby

    4x patch bolts, E10, 8 Nm, 5x tabs, Install new fasteners, Rotate airbag into cover
  13. Install knee air bag cover brace

  14. Install RH knee air bag assembly into vehicle

    2x connectors, 6x tabs, 1x clip, Hook tabs before fully seating, Use caution not to damage the connector/harness, Support the knee air bag while connecting the connector
  15. Install fasteners securing RH knee air bag assembly to vehicle

    2x bolts, 10mm, 8 Nm, 1x clip, Install new fasteners
  16. Install RH footwell cover

  17. Connect First Responder Loop and LV battery connector

    2x connectors Secure FRL first, Seat LV battery connection and push black connector lock inwards to secure, Engage green locking tab when fully seated
  18. Install rear underhood apron

  19. Close hood

  20. Move RH front seat to original position
