1. Raise and support vehicle
   Note

   Set air suspension to "Jack Mode"

   

   

2. Open LH front door
3. Lower LH front window
4. Open hood
   Note

   Using center display touchscreen > Quick Controls > Frunk Open

   

   

5. Remove rear underhood apron
   Note

   8x clips

   

   

6. Remove LH underhood apron
   Note

   10x clips

   

   

7. Remove RH underhood apron
   Note

   10x clips

   

   

8. Remove front underhood apron
   Note

   7x clips

   

   

9. Remove frunk access panel
   Note

   3x clips, 3x hooks, 1x connector

   

   

10. Remove frunk carpet

    

    

11. Remove frunk assembly
    Note

    4x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm

    

    

12. Power off vehicle from center display
    Note

    Via Controls > Safety & Security > Power Off

    

13. Disconnect LV battery connector and First Responder Loop
    Note

    2x connectors, Lift up and release green locking tab, Pull black connector lock outwards to release connection

    

    

    

    

14. Raise vehicle fully and lower lift onto locks
    Note

    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side

    

    

15. Remove clips securing front aero shield
    Note

    5x push clips

    

    

    

16. Remove bolts securing front aero shield and remove from vehicle
    Note

    9x bolts, 10mm, 6 Nm

    

17. Release clips securing wheel house liner to front skid plate
    Note

    4x clips

    

    

18. Remove bolts securing front skid plate to body sill
    Note

    2x bolts, 15mm, 30 Nm

    

    

    

19. Remove bolts securing front skid plate to body casting
    Note

    2x bolts, 15mm, 60 Nm

    

20. Remove bolts securing front skid plate to front subframe and remove skid plate
    Note

    4x bolts, 15mm, 70 Nm, 2x bolts, 10mm, 10 Nm

    

    

21. Position foldable funnel under front drive unit
    Note

    Prevent coolant contamination to HV battery components

    

22. Position coolant drain container under the front of the vehicle to catch vehicle coolant

    

23. Release FDU powertrain return hose from RH sill hose
    Note

    1x hose clip, Plug both ends

    

    

24. Release powertrain return hose from heat exchanger
    Note

    1x hose clip, Plug both ends, Allow any excess fluid to drain

    

    

25. Remove coolant drain container from underneath vehicle

    

26. Lower vehicle until tires are touching the ground
    Note

    Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered

    

    

    

27. Place coolant catcher below front of vehicle
    Note

    Position to catch all coolant loss

    

28. Release PT return hose from supermanifold
    Note

    1x hose clip, Plug reservoir to prevent drainage, Remove hose from vehicle_x000A_

    

    

    

    

29. Secure coolant caps on ends of new performance PT return hose
    Note

    2x hose clip, Secure caps to prevent draining the coolant reservoir when hose is installed

    

    

    

30. Secure PT return hose onto supermanifold
    Note

    1x hose clip, Perform push-pull-push test

    

    

    

31. Remove coolant catcher from under vehicle

    

32. Raise vehicle fully and lower lift onto locks
    Note

    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side

    

    

33. Position coolant drain container under the front of the vehicle to catch vehicle coolant

    

34. Secure powertrain return hose onto heat exchanger
    Note

    1x hose clip, Remove any plugs, Perform push-pull-push test

    

    

35. Secure FDU powertrain return hose from RH sill hose
    Note

    1x hose clip, Remove any plugs, Perform push-pull-push test

    

    

36. Remove foldable funnel from subframe

    

    

37. Remove coolant drain container from underneath vehicle

    

38. Spray area with brake cleaner and wipe residual fluid off with towel
39. Position front skid plate for installation and thread in all bolts
    Note

    4x bolts, 15mm, 70 Nm, 2x bolts, 15mm, 60 Nm, 2x bolts, 15mm, 30 Nm, 2x bolts, 10mm, 10 Nm, Torque at later step

    

    

    

40. Torque bolts securing front skid plate to body casting
    Note

    2x bolts, 15mm, 60 Nm

    

41. Torque bolts securing front skid plate to body sill
    Note

    2x bolts, 15mm, 30 Nm

    

    

    

42. Torque bolts securing front skid plate to front subframe
    Note

    4x bolts, 15mm, 70 Nm, 2x bolts, 10mm, 10 Nm

    

43. Secure clips securing wheel house liner to front skid plate
    Note

    4x clips

    

    

44. Apply Loctite 222 onto front aero shield bolts and install fasteners securing front aero shield to vehicle
    Note

    9x bolts, 10mm, 6 Nm

    

    

45. Install clips securing front aero shield
    Note

    5x push clips

    

    

    

46. Lower vehicle fully
    Note

    Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered

    

    

    

47. Remove coolant bottle cap

    

48. Inspect coolant level and top off as necessary
    Note

    Ensure that the fluid level is at the Max line, Top off fluid as required

    

    

49. Connect First Responder Loop and LV battery connector
    Note

    2x connectors Secure FRL first, Seat LV battery connection and push black connector lock inwards to secure, Engage green locking tab when fully seated

    

    

    

    

50. Perform the following routine using Service Mode or Toolbox (see 0005 - Service Modes): TEST_VCFRONT_X_THERMAL-COOLANT-AIR-PURGEvia Toolbox: (link)via Service Mode:
    • Thermal ➜ Actions ➜ Coolant Purge Stop or Coolant Purge Start
    • Thermal ➜ Coolant System ➜ Coolant Purge Start
    via Service Mode Plus:
    • Drive Inverter ➜ Front Drive Inverter Replacement ➜ Coolant Air Purge
    • Drive Inverter ➜ Rear Drive Inverter Replacement ➜ Coolant Air Purge
    • Drive Inverter ➜ Rear Left Drive Inverter Replacement ➜ Coolant Air Purge
    • Drive Inverter ➜ Rear Right Drive Inverter Replacement ➜ Coolant Air Purge
    • Drive Unit ➜ Front Drive Unit Replacement ➜ Coolant Air Purge
    • Drive Unit ➜ Rear Drive Unit Replacement ➜ Coolant Air Purge
    Note

    Make sure vehicle is not in drive state, Plan is still running despite the stop message, Coolant pumps will be audible, Test lasts approximately 10 mins, Putting vehicle into drive state will stop this routine, Monitor levels as required
51. Inspect coolant level and top off as necessary

    Ensure that the fluid level is at the Max line

    

    

52. Install coolant bottle cap

    

53. Install frunk assembly
    Note

    4x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm

    

    

54. Install frunk carpet
    Note

    Verify carpet is properly seated under the seal

    

    

55. Install frunk access panel
    Note

    3x clips, 3x hooks, 1x connector

    

    

56. Install front underhood apron
    Note

    7x clips

    

    

57. Install RH underhood apron
    Note

    10x clips

    

    

58. Install LH underhood apron
    Note

    10x clips

    

    

59. Install rear underhood apron
    Note

    8x clips

    

    

60. Close hood
    Note

    Press firmly in green highlighted areas (see image), Damage may result from pressure elsewhere on hood

    

61. Remove vehicle from lift
    Note

    Lower rack arms fully and remove them from under vehicle, Remove air suspension from "Jack Mode"

    

    

62. Raise LH front window
63. Close LH front door
