Harness - Center Console (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the center console assembly from the vehicle. See Center Console Assembly (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the LH and RH center console side panels. See Side Panel - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the center console decor assembly. See Decor - Center Console (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the center console airwave assembly. See Air Wave Assembly - Center Console (Remove and Replace).
  5. Remove the center console service panel assembly from the center console assembly. See Panel - Service - Center Console (Remove and Replace).

    Note
    It is not necessary to remove components from the service panel assembly once it is removed from the center console.
  6. Remove the center console armrest from the center console assembly. See Armrest - Center Console (Remove and Replace).
  7. Remove the bolts (x16) that attach the center console storage bin assembly to the center console assembly.
    1 Nm (.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • T20 socket
  8. Remove the storage bin assembly from the center console base:
    1. Press in on the side of the storage bin assembly.
    2. Carefully lift the storage bin assembly upward.
    3. Disconnect the center console light connector during removal.
  9. Release the clips (x14) that attach the center console harness to the center console frame, and then remove the harness from the center console.

Install

  1. Position the center console harness into the center console frame, and then secure the clips (x14) that attach the harness to the center console.
  2. Position the storage bin assembly to the center console base, connect the center console light connector, and then install the bin into the center console.
  3. Install the bolts (x16) that attach the center console storage bin assembly to the center console assembly.
    1 Nm (.7 lbs-ft)

    CAUTION
    Make sure the shorter chrome headed bolts are on the rear of the storage bin to prevent damage to center console.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • T20 socket
  4. Install the center console armrest to the center console assembly. See Armrest - Center Console (Remove and Replace).
  5. Install the center console service panel assembly into the center console assembly. See Panel - Service - Center Console (Remove and Replace).
  6. Install the center console airwave assembly. See Air Wave Assembly - Center Console (Remove and Replace).
  7. Install the center console decor assembly. See Decor - Center Console (Remove and Replace).
  8. Install the LH and RH center console side panels. See Side Panel - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace).
  9. Install the center console assembly into the vehicle. See Center Console Assembly (Remove and Replace).
