Sensor - Level - Windshield Washer Reservoir (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  2. Remove the LH front wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  3. Release the clips (x7) that attach the front portion of the LH front wheel house liner to the vehicle.
  4. Disconnect the washer level sensor electrical connector.
  5. Remove the washer level sensor from the washer reservoir.

    Note
    Carefully pry washer level sensor away from washer bottle and allow washer fluid to drain.
  6. Remove the washer level sensor seal from the sensor.

    Inspect the seal and replace if damaged.

Install

  1. Install the washer level sensor seal to the washer reservoir
  2. Install the washer level sensor to the reservoir.

    Note
    Install the washer level sensor to the reservoir with the flat section pointed upward.
  3. Connect the washer level sensor electrical connector.
  4. Install the clips that attach the front portion of the LH front wheel house liner to the vehicle.
  5. Install the LH front wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  6. Remove the vehicle from the lift.
  7. Fill the washer fluid reservoir.
    Tip: The reservoir has a capacity of 4.5 liters.
