Shroud - Lower - Steering Column (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the LH and RH middle A-pillar trims. See Trim - A-Pillar - Middle - LH (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the LH and RH instrument panel end caps. See End Cap - Instrument Panel - LH (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  4. Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  5. Remove the phone dock. See Phone Dock - Center Console (Remove and Replace).
  6. Remove the IP service panel. See Service Panel - Instrument Panel (Remove and Replace).
  7. Remove the touchscreen. See Touchscreen (HW3) (Remove and Replace).
  8. Remove the IP decor. See Decor - Instrument Panel - Main (Remove and Replace).
  9. Remove the steering yoke/wheel. See Steering Yoke/Wheel (Remove and Replace).
  10. Remove the gap hider. See Gap Hider - Steering Column - Upper (Remove and Replace).
  11. Remove the screws (x2) that attach the lower shroud to the steering column.

    Note
    Slide the lower shroud towards the driver seat to release the datum.

Install

  1. Install the screws (x2) that attach the lower shroud to the steering column.

    2x screws, T20, 1.5 Nm

    Note
    Slide the lower shroud toward the dash to engage the datum.
  2. Install the gap hider. See Gap Hider - Steering Column - Upper (Remove and Replace).
  3. Install the steering yoke/wheel. See Steering Yoke/Wheel (Remove and Replace).
  4. Install the IP decor. See Decor - Instrument Panel - Main (Remove and Replace).
  5. Install the touchscreen. See Touchscreen (HW3) (Remove and Replace).
  6. Install the IP service panel. See Service Panel - Instrument Panel (Remove and Replace).
  7. Install the phone dock. See Phone Dock - Center Console (Remove and Replace).
  8. Connect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  9. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  10. Install the LH and RH instrument panel end caps. See End Cap - Instrument Panel - LH (Remove and Replace).
  11. Install the LH and RH middle A-pillar trims. See Trim - A-Pillar - Middle - LH (Remove and Replace).
