Module - Air Suspension - ECU (Tesla) (LHD) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  3. Disconnect LV Power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  4. Remove the RH mid A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Middle - LH (Remove and Replace).
  5. Remove the RH lower A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  6. Remove the RH footwell cover. See Cover - Footwell - Passenger (Remove and Replace).
  7. Remove the RH console side carpet. See Carpet - Side Panel - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace).
  8. Fold down the RH front cabin carpet.
  9. Release the clip that attaches the electrical harness to the RH footrest panel.
  10. Remove the RH footrest panel.
  11. HW4 VEHICLES: The car computer coolant hoses on HW4 vehicles obstruct access to the air suspension ECU. Remove the fasteners (x4) that attach the car computer to the vehicle and move the car computer aside to gain access to the air suspension ECU. See Car Computer (HW4) (Remove and Install) for fastener specs.
  12. Release the clip that attaches the electrical harness to the body.
  13. Disconnect the electrical connectors (x3) from the TASC 2.0 ECU.
  14. Remove the nuts (x3) that attach the TASC 2.0 ECU to the vehicle, and remove the ECU from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Install the nuts (x3) that attach the TASC 2.0 ECU to the vehicle.

    3x nuts, 6 Nm, 10mm
  2. Connect the electrical connectors (x3) to the TASC 2.0 ECU.
  3. Position the clip that attaches the electrical harness to the body.
  4. HW4 VEHICLES: Position the car computer on the vehicle and install the fasteners (x4) that attach the car computer to the vehicle . See Car Computer (HW4) (Remove and Install) for fastener specs.
  5. Connect LV Power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  6. Connect to the vehicle with a laptop equipped with Toolbox 3. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
  7. Perform a firmware redeploy. See Firmware Reinstall - Toolbox.
  8. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  9. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the RH footrest panel to the vehicle.

    2x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, 1x nut, 10mm, 5 Nm
  10. Position the clip that attaches the electrical harness to the RH footrest panel.
  11. Return the RH main carpet to its original position.
  12. Install the RH console side carpet. See Carpet - Side Panel - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace).
  13. Install the RH footwell cover. See Cover - Footwell - Passenger (Remove and Replace).
  14. Install the RH mid A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Middle - LH (Remove and Replace).
  15. Install the RH lower A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  16. Perform a ride height adjustment. See Ride Height (Adjust).
