1. Open LH front door
2. Lower both front windows
3. Move LH front seat backward
4. Remove LH mid A-pillar trim
   Note

   1x clip, 2x tabs

   

   

5. Remove LH IP end cap
   Note

   4x clips

   

   

6. Adjust steering column fully rearward and fully down
   Note

   Via Controls > Steering Wheel, Use left steering wheel scroll wheel to adjust steering column
7. Open RH front door
8. Move RH front seat backward
9. Remove RH mid A-pillar trim
   Note

   1x clip, 2x tabs

   

   

10. Remove RH IP end cap
    Note

    4x clips

    

    

11. Open hood
    Note

    Select Controls > Frunk Open
12. Open glove box through UI
    Note

    Via Controls > Glovebox
13. Power off vehicle from center display
    Note

    Via Controls > Safety & Security > Power Off

    

14. Remove rear underhood apron
    Note

    8x clips

    

    

15. Disconnect LV battery connector and First Responder Loop
    Note

    2x connectors, Lift up and release green locking tab, Pull black connector lock outwards to release connection

    

    

    

16. Release phone dock
    Note

    4x clips, 2x datums, Pull up at bottom and swing out from under instrument panel

    

    

17. Remove phone dock
    Note

    3x connectors, 1x clip, Take caution to release connector locks before pulling straight out of each socket to avoid damage

    

    

18. Release IP service panel
    Note

    2x tabs, 4x datums, Release top tabs and slide rearward

    

    

    

19. Release diagnostic and CAN harnesses from IP service panel
    Note

    2x clips

    

    

20. Remove IP service panel
    Note

    1x connector

    

    

21. Remove center display bracket bolts
    Note

    2x bolts, 10mm, 11.5 Nm

    

    

22. Release center display motor connectors
    Note

    2x connectors

    

    

23. Remove center display shroud
    Note

    3x tabs, Slide display outwards until shroud fully clears IP and support, Release the bottom tabs and pull upward

    

    

24. Release center display coax and power connectors
    Note

    2x connectors, 1x clip, Slide display rearward outwards from IP bracket and support during connector release

    

25. Remove center display
    Note

    Slide rearward, Place on soft clean surface

    

26. Remove IP closeout panel
    Note

    4x tabs

    

    

    

27. Remove IP LH mid panel
    Note

    6x tabs

    

    

28. Remove IP RH mid Panel
    Note

    14x tabs, 2 datums

    

    

29. Remove IP Decor
    Note

    21x clips, 6x datums, 2x connectors, Release each IP decor connector clip from IP carrier then disconnect from IP harness

    

    

    

    

    

    

30. Remove RH footwell cover
    Note

    3x magnets, 1x connector, 4x datums

    

    

31. Remove fasteners securing RH knee air bag assembly to vehicle
    Note

    2x bolts, 10mm, 8 Nm, 1x clip, Discard after removal

    

32. Remove RH knee air bag assembly from vehicle
    Note

    2x connectors, 6x tabs, 1x clip, Release 2x locking tab on airbag connector

    

    

    

    

33. Release glove box
    Note

    5x screws, T20, 3 Nm

    

    

34. Release glove box connectors
    Note

    3x connectors

    

35. Remove USB outlet
    Note

    2x screws, T20, 3 Nm, 1x clip

    

    

36. Remove glove box

    

37. Release passenger IP air duct temperature sensor connector
    Note

    1x connector, Carefully release connection and do not damage components

    

38. Remove passenger IP air duct
    Note

    2x push-pull rivets

    

    

39. Release passenger IP airbag connectors
    Note

    3x connectors, Note RoW variant vehicles may be equipped with only 2x connectors, Pull down spring loaded locks simultaneously to release airbag connectors

    

    

40. Remove IP carrier cross beam bolts
    Note

    2x bolts, 10mm, 6 Nm

    

    

41. Remove RH upper A-pillar trim
    Note

    2x tethered clips, 1x clip, 2x connector, Pull inside of the upper portion of upper A-pillar, Depress 2x tabs to remove each tether from body side, Disconnect tweeter, Then pull upper A-pillar upward to remove

    

    

    

    

42. Remove LH upper A-pillar trim
    Note

    2x tethered clips, 1x clip, 2x connector, Pull inside of the upper portion of upper A-pillar, Depress 2x tabs to remove each tether from body side, Disconnect tweeter, Then pull upper A-pillar upward to remove

    

    

    

    

43. Release IP Decor harness from LH IP sub-assembly
    Note

    1x clip

    

44. Release LH lower instrument panel
    Note

    3x screws, T20, 3 Nm

    

45. Release center lower instrument panel
    Note

    7x screws, T20, 3 Nm, 1x harness, 1 screw connects instrument panel ground harness. If using part revision 1562948-70-D on a Non-AP4 vehicle, add ground strap 1679240-00-A to aero lens assembly

    

46. Release RH lower instrument panel
    Note

    3x screws, T20, 3 Nm

    

47. Release IP trim harness
    Note

    1x connector, 2x clips

    

    

48. Release instrument cluster harness
    Note

    1x connector, 1x clip

    

    

49. Remove IP sub-assembly
    Note

    9x screws, T20, 3 Nm, Slide IP sub-assembly rearward, Lift assembly up from IP carrier, Ensure airwave vents and passenger air bag are clear of lower IP assembly, Remove assembly out through RH front door, Recommend assistance as needed

    

    

    

    

    

    

    

    

50. Remove IP windshield seal

    

    

51. Release IP speaker mesh
    Note

    9x screws, T20, 3 Nm

    

52. Remove IP speaker mesh
    Note

    Lift and disengage from IP sub-assembly

    

    

    

53. Install IP speaker mesh
    Note

    Engage leading edge into IP sub-assembly and lower into place

    

    

    

54. Secure IP speaker mesh
    Note

    9x screws, T20, 3 Nm

    

55. Install IP windshield seal
    Note

    Clean with IPA, Allow 1 minute to dry

    

    

56. Install IP sub-assembly
    Note

    9x screws, T20, 3 Nm, 4x datums, Slide IP sub-assembly into vehicle, Ensure passenger air bag and driver vent assembly have clearance past lower IP assembly, Recommend assistance

    

    

    

    

    

    

    

    

57. Secure IP trim harness
    Note

    1x connector, 1x clip

    

58. Secure instrument cluster harness
    Note

    1x connector

    

59. Secure IP Decor harness to LH IP sub-assembly
    Note

    1x clip

    

60. Position lower instrument panel assembly into IP sub-assembly

    

61. Secure LH lower instrument panel
    Note

    3x screws, T20, 3 Nm

    

62. Secure center lower instrument panel
    Note

    7x screws, T20, 3 Nm, 1x harness, 1 screw connects instrument panel ground harness. If using part revision 1562948-70-D on a Non-AP4 vehicle, add ground strap 1679240-00-A to aero lens assembly

    

    

63. Secure RH lower instrument panel
    Note

    3x screws, T20, 3 Nm

    

64. Install RH upper A-pillar trim
    Note

    2x tethered clips, 1x clip, 2x connector, Slide bottom of trim along IP and speaker grill, attach each tether to body side, Set clips starting at the bottom and work up, Pull seal over trim

    

    

    

    

65. Install LH upper A-pillar trim
    Note

    2x tethered clips, 1x clip, 2x connector, Slide bottom of trim along IP and speaker grill, attach each tether to body side, Set clips starting at the bottom and work up, Pull seal over trim

    

    

    

    

66. Install IP carrier cross beam bolts
    Note

    2x bolts, 10mm, 6 Nm

    

    

67. Secure passenger IP airbag connectors
    Note

    3x connectors, Note RoW variant vehicles may be equipped with only 2x connectors, Verify connectors are fully secured

    

68. Install passenger IP air duct
    Note

    2x push-pull rivets

    

    

69. Secure passenger IP air duct temperature sensor connector
    Note

    1x connector

    

70. Secure USB outlet
    Note

    2x screws, T20, 3 Nm, 1x clip, Ensure USB socket flush in glove box

    

    

71. Secure glove box connectors
    Note

    3x connectors

    

72. Install glove box
    Note

    5x screws, T20, 3 Nm, Install screws at top of box, close lid then install bottom screws. Use manual release to open box if needed

    

    

73. Install RH knee air bag assembly into vehicle
    Note

    2x connectors, 6x tabs, 1x clip, Hook tabs before fully seating, Use caution not to damage the connector/harness, Support the knee air bag while connecting the connector

    

    

    

74. Install fasteners securing RH knee air bag assembly to vehicle
    Note

    2x bolts, 10mm, 8 Nm, 1x clip, Install new fasteners

    

75. Install RH footwell cover
    Note

    3x magnets, 4x datums, 1x connector

    

    

76. Install IP RH mid Panel
    Note

    14x tabs, 2 datums

    

    

    

77. Install IP LH mid panel
    Note

    6x tabs

    

    

    

78. Install IP closeout panel
    Note

    4x tabs

    

    

    

79. Install IP Decor
    Note

    21x clips, 6x datums, 2x connectors, Connect ambient bright harness, Secure each IP decor connector clip to IP carrier, Secure IP decor to lower instrument panel

    

    

    

    

    

80. Route display harness behind LH display bracket

    

81. Position center display in IP

    

    

82. Secure center display coax and power connectors
    Note

    2x connectors, 1x clip, Ensure strain relief clip is secure to linkage arm, Replace clip if damaged

    

83. Install center display shroud
    Note

    3x tabs, Slide display downward until shroud tabs fully engages, Set center display back into IP

    

    

    

84. Secure center display motor connectors
    Note

    2x connectors, Slide center display assembly fully into IP brackets after securing connectors

    

    

85. Install center display bracket bolts
    Note

    2x bolts, 10mm, 7 Nm

    

    

86. Secure IP service panel connector
    Note

    1x connector

    

    

87. Secure diagnostic and CAN harnesses to IP service panel
    Note

    2x clips

    

    

    

88. Secure IP service panel
    Note

    2x tabs, 4 datums, Slide forward engaging datums then secure tabs upward into IP

    

    

89. Install phone dock connections
    Note

    3x connectors, 1x clip

    

    

90. Install phone dock
    Note

    2x datums, 4 tabs, Slide datums forward into IP and secure tabs down into center console

    

    

91. Connect First Responder Loop and LV battery connector
    Note

    2x connectors Secure FRL first, Seat LV battery connection and push black connector lock inwards to secure, Engage green locking tab when fully seated

    

    

    

92. Install rear underhood apron
    Note

    8x clips

    

    

93. Close hood
    Note

    Press firmly in green highlighted areas (see image), Damage may result from pressure elsewhere on hood
94. Adjust steering column back to original position
    Note

    Via UI>Controls>Steering, Use left steering wheel scroll wheel to adjust steering column
95. Install LH IP end cap
    Note

    4x clips

    

    

96. Install LH mid A-pillar trim
    Note

    1x clip, 2x tabs, Verify weather seal is seated properly

    

    

97. Move LH front seat to original position
98. Raise LH front window
99. Close LH front door
    Note

    Close doors
100. Install RH IP end cap
     Note

     4x clips

     

     

101. Install RH mid A-pillar trim
     Note

     1x clip, 2x tabs, Verify weather seal is seated properly

     

     

102. Move RH front seat to original position
