Fender Flares - Front and Rear (Retrofit)

1465974-00-A - Tool, Pressure Roller

Procedure

  1. Make sure the vehicle is parked on a flat level surface.
  2. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  3. Press the brake pedal to turn on the drive rails.
  4. Set the air suspension to "Very High".

    Note
    On the vehicle touchscreen, touch Controls > Suspension > Very High.
  5. Enable "Jack Mode" to disable the self-leveling feature of the air suspension.

    On the vehicle touchscreen, touch Controls > Service > Jack Mode.
  6. Clean the LH inner front fender panel surface with Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) wipes.
  7. Install the LH front fender flare onto the LH front fender panel.
    1. Remove the backing that covers the double-sided tape on the fender flare.
    2. Align the fender flare onto vehicle.

      Note
      Use the front edge of the LH front fender together with the LH side upper edge of the front fascia to align the fender flare.
    3. Use the pressure roller tool (1465974-00-A) to ensure proper adhesion of the double-sided tape onto the inner LH front fender panel.
  8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 to install the RH front fender flare.
  9. Clean the LH inner rear quarter panel surface with IPA wipes.
  10. Install the LH rear fender flare onto the LH rear quarter panel.
    1. Remove the backing that covers the double-sided tape on the fender flare.
    2. Align the fender flare onto vehicle.

      Note
      Use the rear edge of LH quarter panel together with the LH side edge of the rear fascia to align the rear fender flare.
    3. Use the pressure roller tool (1465974-00-A) to ensure proper adhesion of the double-sided tape onto the inner LH rear quarter panel.
  11. Repeat steps 9 and 10 to install the RH rear fender flare.
  12. Press the brake pedal, and then deactivate Jack Mode by touching Controls > Service > Jack Mode again.
  13. Set the air suspension to "Medium".

  14. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
