Service Panel - Instrument Panel (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the RH front door and lower the RH front window.
  2. Move front passenger seat backward.
  3. Release the clips (x4) that attach the phone dock to the center console.

    Note
    Pull up at the bottom of the phone dock and swing out from under the center console.
  4. Release the clip, then disconnect the electrical connectors (x3), and then remove the phone dock from the instrument panel.

    CAUTION
    Release the connector locks before pulling straight out of each socket to avoid damage.
  5. Release the tabs (x4) that attach the instrument panel service panel to the vehicle.
  6. Release the clips (x2) that attach the diagnostic and CAN harnesses to the instrument panel service panel.
  7. Disconnect the connector, and then remove the assembly from the vehicle.
  8. Remove the screws (x2) that attach the cabin temperature sensor fan to the service panel, and then remove the sensor from the panel.
    2 Nm (1.5 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket

Install

  1. Position the cabin temperature sensor fan to the service panel, and then install the screws (x2) that attach the sensor to the panel.
    2 Nm (1.5 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket
  2. Position the instrument panel service panel into the vehicle, and then connect the connector.
  3. Secure the clips (x2) that attach the diagnostic and CAN harnesses to the instrument panel service panel.
  4. Secure the tabs (x4) that attach the instrument panel service panel to the vehicle.
  5. Secure the clip that attaches the phone dock electrical harness, and then connect the electrical connectors (x3).
  6. Fasten the tabs (x4) that attach the phone dock to the center console.

    Note
    Slide the datums forward into the center console, and then secure the tabs down.
  7. Move the front passenger seat to the original position.
  8. Raise the RH front window and close the RH front door.
