Ethernet JumperHarness (2025+) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open RH front door
  2. Lower RH front window
  3. Move RH front seat backward
  4. Remove RH mid A-pillar trim
    Note
    1x clip, 2x tabs
  5. Remove RH IP end cap
    Note
    4x clips
  6. Open glove box through UI
    Note
    Via Controls > Glovebox
  7. Open hood
    Note
    Via Controls > Frunk Open
  8. Power off vehicle from center display
    Note
    Via Controls > Safety & Security > Power Off
  9. Remove rear underhood apron
    Note
    8x clips
  10. Disconnect LV battery connector and First Responder Loop
    Note
    2x connectors, Lift up and release green locking tab, Pull black connector lock outwards to release connection
  11. Release phone dock
    Note
    4x clips, 2x datums, Pull up at bottom and swing out from under instrument panel
  12. Remove phone dock
    Note
    3x connectors, 1x clip, Take caution to release connector locks before pulling straight out of each socket to avoid damage
  13. Release IP service panel
    Note
    2x tabs, 4x datums, Release top tabs and slide rearward
  14. Release diagnostic and CAN harnesses from IP service panel
    Note
    2x clips
  15. Remove IP service panel
    Note
    1x connector
  16. Remove center display bracket bolts
    Note
    2x bolts, 10mm, 11.5 Nm
  17. Remove center upper display shroud
    Note
    3x tabs, Slide display outwards until shroud fully clears IP and support, Release the bottom tabs and pull upward
  18. Release center display coax and power connectors
    Note
    2x connectors, 1x clip, Slide display rearward outwards from IP bracket and support during connector release
  19. Release center display motor connectors
    Note
    2x connectors
  20. Remove center display
    Note
    2x connectors, Slide rearward, Place on soft clean surface, Notate the revision, if motorized the base is larger
  21. Remove IP closeout panel
    Note
    4x tabs
  22. Remove IP RH mid Panel
    Note
    1x screw T20 , 3 Nm ,14x tabs, 2 datums
  23. Remove LH footwell cover
    Note
    1x connector, 2x magnets
  24. Remove fasteners securing RH knee air bag assembly to vehicle
    Note
    2x patch bolts, E10, 8 Nm, Discard after removal
  25. Remove RH knee air bag assembly from vehicle
    Note
    2x connectors, 6x tabs, 1x clip, Release 2x locking tab on airbag connector
  26. Release glove box
    Note
    5x screws, T20, 3 Nm
  27. Release glove box connectors
    Note
    3x connectors
  28. Remove USB outlet
    Note
    2x screws, T20, 3 Nm, 1x clip
  29. Remove glove box
  30. Fold RH front cabin carpet aside for access
    Note
    Caution not to damage styrofoam of carpet
  31. Disconnect ethernet jumper harness
    Note
    4x connectors

Install

  1. Connect ethernet jumper harness
    Note
    4x connectors
  2. Fold RH main carpet back into place
    Note
    Caution not to damage styrofoam of carpet
  3. Secure USB outlet
    Note
    2x screws, T20, 3 Nm, 1x clip, Ensure USB socket flush in glove box
  4. Secure glove box connectors
    Note
    3x connectors
  5. Install glove box
    Note
    5x screws, T20, 3 Nm, Install screws at top of box, close lid then install bottom screws. Use manual release to open box if needed
  6. Install RH knee air bag assembly into vehicle
    Note
    2x connectors, 6x tabs, 1x clip, Hook tabs before fully seating, Use caution not to damage the connector/harness, Support the knee air bag while connecting the connector
  7. Install fasteners securing RH knee air bag assembly to vehicle
    Note
    2x patch bolts, E10, 8 Nm, Install new fasteners
  8. Install RH footwell cover
    Note
    3x magnets, 4x datums, 1x connector
  9. Install IP RH mid Panel
    Note
    1x screw T20 , 3 Nm ,14x tabs, 2 datums
  10. Install IP closeout panel
    Note
    4x tabs
  11. Route display harness behind LH display bracket
  12. Position center display in IP
  13. Secure center display coax and power connectors
    Note
    2x connectors, 1x clip, Ensure strain relief clip is secure to linkage arm, Replace clip if damaged
  14. Install center display shroud
    Note
    3x tabs, Slide display downward until shroud tabs fully engages, Set center display back into IP
  15. Secure center display motor connectors
    Note
    2x connectors, Slide center display assembly fully into IP brackets after securing connectors
  16. Install center display bracket bolts
    Note
    2x bolts, 10mm, 7 Nm
  17. Secure IP service panel connector
    Note
    1x connector
  18. Secure diagnostic and CAN harnesses to IP service panel
    Note
    2x clips
  19. Secure IP service panel
    Note
    2x tabs, 4 datums, Slide forward engaging datums then secure tabs upward into IP
  20. Install phone dock connectors
    Note
    3x connectors, 1x clip
  21. Install phone dock
    Note
    2x datums, 4 tabs, Slide datums forward into IP and secure tabs down into center console
  22. Install RH IP end cap
    Note
    4x clips
  23. Install RH mid A-pillar trim
    Note
    1x clip, 2x tabs, Verify weather seal is seated properly
  24. Connect First Responder Loop and LV battery connector
    Note
    2x connectors Secure FRL first, Seat LV battery connection and push black connector lock inwards to secure, Engage green locking tab when fully seated
  25. Install rear underhood apron
    Note
    8x clips
  26. Close hood
    Note
    Press firmly in green highlighted areas (see image), Damage may result from pressure elsewhere on hood
  27. Move RH front seat to original position
  28. Raise RH front window
  29. Close RH front door
