Phone Dock - Center Console (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Release the clips (x4) that attach the phone dock to the center console.

    Note
    Pull up at the bottom of the phone dock and swing out from under the center console.
  3. Release the clip, then disconnect the electrical connectors (x3), and then remove the phone dock from the instrument panel.

    CAUTION
    Release the connector locks before pulling straight out of each socket to avoid damage.
  4. Remove the screws (x3) that attach the inductive charger from the phone dock.
    1.2 Nm (.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket
  5. Release the tabs (x2) at the top of the phone dock, and then remove the inductive charger from the phone dock.

    Note
    Angle the inductive charger up and slide out of the phone dock.
  6. Remove the screws (x5) that attach the hazard button to the phone dock.
    1.2 Nm (.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket
  7. Release the clips (x3) that attach the hazard button to the phone dock.

    Note
    Release the clips, and then rotate out of the phone dock.

Install

  1. Fasten the clips (x3) that attach the hazard button to the phone dock.

    Note
    Rotate the hazard button into the phone dock by aligning the datums, and then fasten the clips (x3).
  2. Install the screws (x5) that attach the hazard button to the phone dock.
    1.2 Nm (.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket

    Note
    Inspect the front of the phone dock to ensure that the hazard button module is flush to the phone dock.
  3. Fasten the tabs (x2) that attach the inductive charger into the phone dock.

    Note
    Slide the inductive charger datums into the phone dock, and then fully engage the tabs (x2) at the top of the phone dock.
  4. Install the screws (x3) that attach the inductive charger to the phone dock.
    1.2 Nm (.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket
  5. Secure the clip that attaches the phone dock electrical harness, and then connect the electrical connectors (x3).
  6. Fasten the tabs (x4) that attach the phone dock to the center console.

    Note
    Slide the datums forward into the center console, and then secure the tabs down.
  7. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
