Torque Specifications

Reuse

Remove

  1. Open the LH front and rear doors.
  2. Remove the rocker panel scuff plate. See Scuff Plate - Rocker Panel - LH (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the push clip that attaches the rocker panel molding to the LH front wheel arch liner.
  4. Remove the push clips (x2) that attach the rocker panel molding to the LH rear wheel arch liner.
  5. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH fairing, and then release the tabs (x4) that attach the fairing to the vehicle.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
    • 4 in extension
    • 10 mm socket
  6. Release the bolt covers (x3) on the bottom edge of the LH rocker panel molding.
  7. Remove the upper bolts (x7) and lower bolts (x4) that attach the LH rocker panel molding to the body.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
    • 4 in extension
    • 10 mm socket
  8. Release the LH rocker panel molding at the front and rear fenders first, and then remove the molding from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Install the LH rocker panel molding on the vehicle.

    Secure the rocker panel molding at the front and rear fenders.

    Insert the rocker panel molding above the jack pads.
  2. Install the upper bolts (x7) and lower bolts (x4) that attach the LH rocker panel molding to body.
    3 Nm (2.2 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
    • 4 in extension
    • 10 mm socket
  3. Secure the covers (x3) on the bottom edge of the LH rocker panel molding.
  4. Secure the tabs (x5) that attach the LH rear wheel fairing to the body.
  5. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the LH rear wheel fairing to the body.
    3 Nm (2.2 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
    • 4 in extension
    • 10 mm socket
  6. Install the push clips (x2) that attach the rocker panel molding to the LH rear wheel arch liner.
  7. Install the push clip that attaches the rocker panel molding to the LH front wheel arch liner.
  8. Install the rocker panel scuff plate. See Scuff Plate - Rocker Panel - LH (Remove and Replace).
