Grille - Speaker - Instrument Panel (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the IP sub-assembly. See Sub Assembly - Instrument Panel (Remove and Install).
  2. Remove the instrument panel windshield seal using a plastic trim tool.
  3. Remove the screws (x9) that attach the instrument panel speaker grille to the instrument panel sub-assembly.
    3 Nm (2.2 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket
  4. Lift up to disengage, and then remove the instrument panel speaker grille from the instrument panel sub-assembly.

Install

  1. Engage the leading edge of the instrument panel speaker grille into the instrument panel sub-assembly, and then lower the grille into place.
  2. Install the screws (x9) that attach the instrument panel speaker grille to the instrument panel sub-assembly.
    3 Nm (2.2 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket
  3. Install the instrument panel windshield seal.

    Clean the windshield seal with an Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) wipe, and then allow 1 minute to dry before continuing to the next step.
  4. Install the instrument panel sub-assembly. See Sub Assembly - Instrument Panel (Remove and Install).
