Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install)

Remove

  1. Move the vehicle to a 2 post lift. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.

    Note
    If using a floor jack, position the floor jack under the lift point at the wheel to be removed.
  2. On the vehicle touchscreen, touch Controls > Service > Suspension > Jack Mode to enable Jack Mode.
  3. Remove the lug nut covers (x5) from the wheel.
  4. Loosen, but do not remove the lug nuts (x5) that attach wheel to the hub.
  5. Raise vehicle to unload the suspension.

    Note
    If using a floor jack, raise the vehicle to unload the suspension at the wheel to be removed.
  6. Remove the lug nuts (x5) from the wheel, and then remove the wheel from the hub.

Install

  1. Install wheel onto the hub.
  2. Hand start the lug nuts (x5) beginning with the bottom lug nut first.
  3. Use a power tool to tighten the lug nuts (x5) of the wheel to the initial torque in a criss-cross star pattern.
  4. Lower the vehicle until the tire is touching the floor and the suspension begins to load.
  5. Torque the lug nuts (x5) of the wheel in a criss-cross star pattern.
    175 Nm (129.1 lbs-ft)

    CAUTION
    If using a floor jack, make sure not to rock the vehicle off of the jack.
  6. Install the lug nut covers (x5) onto the wheel.
  7. Fully lower the vehicle completely.
  8. On the vehicle touchscreen, touch Controls > Service > Suspension > Disable Jack Mode to disable Jack Mode.
  9. Remove the vehicle from the 2 post lift. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
